SWM seeking kittens (non-mummified please)
Winnipeg is a cold, cold place in the wintertime. Thermostats would be cranked up pretty high right about now. All around the city, families probably gather around their heating vents and drink hot coco and sing songs or whatever, but in one apartment, for two kittens, things are not so happy.

Everybody, meet [info]midnightsroses. He recently bought some kittens and they crawled into an open vent in his apartment, the scamps! With help from old man gravity, they have probably made their way through the bowls of his apartment building to the hellish crematoria of The Dread Furnace, since he can't here them moving around anymore. So he poses this query: Can someone fix me up with some new kittens? I promise not to kill these ones.

Needless to say, everyone with a brain comments saying "ZOMG U KILLED THOSE KITTENS!!!"

He also invokes compares the plight of the kittens to Jews in Nazi Germany. Oh, Anne Frank, your kooky antics continue to be a source of Internet hilarity for, like, months to come.

Did I mention that he wears a cape? In public? 'Cause he totally does.
I rest my case.

I thought this was weird until I realized it was all taking place in Winnipeg.

I love that city.

Also, his "clarification" is kinda freaky too.

IM NOT A CAT-HATING FREAK, YOU FREAKS! ZOMG!! can i have some more kittens now, since grown ones are too hard to tame?

Seconding the hope that no one gives him more animals to take care of.

[info]josh5674 for the win.

So you had some cats, they're hiding, and you're of the attitude "Oh, shit. they're gone. might as well replace them." For the Love of God, NEVER play peek-a-boo with your children! "Where's the baby? There he is!" "Where's the baby? there he is!" "Where's the baby? I don't know! Let's just get a new one!"

Right on.

How in hell does he know that the vent is where the cats went? I'd bet money that they're hiding in some far saner corner of the apartment. Cats are masters at picking hiding spots, and "a black hole in the wall with smooth, tippy floors" is not a primo hiding spot.

That said, WTF does this moron think he's doing? First he announces that he lost his cats in a bizarre and memorable way, then he asks for more cats, then he tells people to kill themselves for objecting to him. So very encouraging. If he's serious about getting more pets, I suggest a small pack of ex-ringfighting pit bulls.

(And don't bother spending too much money on dog food, meat boy.)

Reading [info]midnightroses did weird things to my brain. The effect is not easy to describe, mostly because of the weird things it did to my brain.

It's a little bit like codein, only that the codein effect is kind of shiny and the [info]midnightroses effect is not.

It sounds to me like, despite his years of experience with tons of cats, he didn't even think to feed them until it could be a source of bribery.

Also young ferals take way less time to calm down than the ones he described. Either he was an idiot, or the cats were sick.

And who moves to an apartment and never ever moves anything? I may not move the couch routinely, but I'm often peering under it, looking for lost pens, change, and cat toys.

The poor kittens! Gods, people who don't cat-proof their house should never be allowed feral cats. Ever. Ferals are the trickiest animals, and can find the funkiest hiding spots.

And he needs to use spell check. Badly.

Nooo! The cape link is protected! Thankfully, the cape icon isn't.

Those poor kitties, though. One of my cats ended up in the air intake vent in my house. And you know what I did? I closed the intake vent from the furnace and fucking took apart the sheet metal to get her out! And then I proceeded to reinforce the vent cover so it couldn't get pulled off without a screwdriver. Notice how that's different from presuming her to be dead five minutes after she crawled in and asking for a new kitty ANDOMGFORFREEPLZTHX!

I'd feel bad for a cockroach living with this guy, let alone a poor little kitty.

*sighs and grabs a few tissues to clean up his mess*

I care more then you know, your just not thinking once so ever.

He makes my brain hurt. I'm not sure he should be allowed to take care of himself, much less another lifeform. I hope the Humane Society raids his house and takes custody of his intestinal fauna.

Dear Stupidhead,

Your request to have more kittens placed in your custody has been declined due to the fact that you are blatantly unfit to host any life form.

Also, your breeding privilages have been revoked, but that cape tells me it won't be an issue.

I apolgize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but I don't really mean it.

Sincerely,
Chesh

I'm just amused that the boy hasn't twigged that EVERYONE is against him in this. There isn't a single "omg guyz stop being mean" sympathizer in the lot. Does it not occur to him that maybe, just maybe, the vast majority might have a point?
