Over on [info]bad_service, [info]wyldthyng makes a post about how she was cheated out of a dollar. Some people feel her language was a little harsh and she's reacting a tad bit harshly to the loss of a dollar.

[info]wyldthyng then makes a second post in which she acts like a condescending bitch tries to school the ignorant on why she was justified to rant over a dollar, complete with an english lesson! Because apparently using terms like 'conniving cunt' makes your argument so much more intelligent!

Naturally, people call her an attention whore, and she loves it!

God, what is it with that comm lately...

Ya know what? I lose a dollar to the vending machines all the time. They suck. If I don't get the correct change back for five dollars, and end up a couple bucks short, I don't get pissed off. In fact, if I wasn't given proper change and ended up ten dollars short, so be it!

My problem isn't so much with her first post, though getting that upset over a dollar may be a little extreme. It was her second post, where she basically talks down to everyone and acts like she's so much more intelligent than everyone else. Then brags in the comments about how she's liking the attention.

I'd be pissed off if I came up ten bucks short, and I'd be slightly annoyed if I came up a dollar short (just as I'm slightly annoyed when the vending machine eats my dollar). On the other hand, I wouldn't rant about it and assume some nefarious conspiracy rather than oh, say, an honest mistake.

Kind of off the point of the wank, and probably slightly wanky, but after reading some of those responses to her, I have to say - if I never hear 'see a therapist' or 'take your meds' as an insult again, it'll still be far, far too soon.

You beat me to posting it.

While I agreed with the general sentiment of being pissed off about being screwed out of money (even if it was just a dollar), by point the OP is just being outright over the top about the entire thing. Someone needs to smack her, tell her that it happened and until she invents a time machine, there's nothing she can do about it now.

People on the internet were mean and insensitive to her. Gee, what a surprise.

Arrgh, reminds me of the time I had a customer argue with me over 18 cents change - which I had already given him. He backed off when he finally dug in his pocket and pulled out - 18 cents.

I just couldn't believe it. Even if I didn't give you your change, you can't even buy a fucking PHONE CALL.

Three cents is the most over-the-top thing I've ever heard, though.

One of my landladies once threw a shitfit over me once leaving on a lamp all day. I went and found the cost per kilowatt hour and calculated it out: it came to something like 13 cents. So I gave her 13 cents and told her, not in so many words, to STFU. She wasn't amused. :)
