Oh How the Pseduo-Intelluctuals Come Out After A Riot...
Roadrunner Records has the somewhat noble idea of letting members comment on news posts. However it is quickly shown that the public showing informative, eloquent responses to anything is quickly dashed with a story like this.

For those of you who don't know there's been a big punk concert called "British Invasion" in San Bernardino, California for three years now that draws people from all over the US and even Canada. Apparently this year a bunch of skinheads decided to start shouting "White Power" in response to anti-racist songs being sung by the bands. Other people started yelling "Fuck White Power!" and of course they immediately begin hitting each other, a punk even gets stabbed in the melee and the cops are called. Apparently this happened outside the main concert hall.

The cops show-up and start throwing tear gas after being met by a hostile crowd. The band playing at the time (Broken Bones) tells the crowd to beware of gas. This starts a panic and most people run out to the parking lot where concert-goers continue to get pelted by gas as they try to get to their cars. This of course just adds fuel to the fire and people began running down city streets mostly breaking windows but there was looting invovled.

And what does the internet have to say to this story? Well here are a few

none of you fucking shitheads know wut ur fucking talking about...ur a bunch of yuppy-bitch ass faggots who dont know anything about punk rock...ohh and by the fucking way "scrotem" it wasnt the skinheads doing the rioting...the punks were fighting the skinheads and then the cops came and started shooting everybody with teargas...even the fucking kids...so thats why they started rioting...wut the news didnt say was how brutal the fucking cops were being...people were getting beat with nightsticks and shot with beanbag guns for standing outside of their cars, without even a warning. i was there you fucking prick, so dont try to act like u know something when you really dont know jack shit.

Fuck the police. I totally believe that they were using exsessive force. I dont blame ppl for rioting. Maybe if the "my wife dont put out" cops werent as harsh, they woudn't have had such a large scale riot

Re:if it wasn't for punk, metal would of never progressed out of the plodding slow paced 70s metal..Even the NWOBHM were influenced by punk. Motorhead, Tank, Venom...There wouldn't be anything like speed/thrash metal unless there was punk before it. There's no doubt in my mind that the cops saw Punks and Skins fighting and went in there with the intent to take everyone down and sort that shit out later. With old school punkers and their kids there, that shit's not cool.
