At least it's different. Every previous new-LJ-feature wank has been of the form "you're adding useless features and you're not giving paid accountholders more icons, waah". So this time they're giving paid accountholders more icons, and there's still wank. What a surprise...

Ah, I'm just happy to have an easy-to-use and semi-high-traffic place where I can post my deepest thoughts on yaoi. And all of the pictures I take with my digital camera, to an extent. Eventually, I'm going to have to break down and get actual webspace or make some hard cuts, but until that day, watch me abuse my Scrapbook space!

Holy crap are free users whiney. I mean yah, when I was a free user I wanted more too but that just made me pay for an account. Cause the whole point of features at sites like these is to, ya know, try to get your money by offering shiney things.

I knew there'd be wank soon as i read that. I'm currently a free user over there but I'm sorely missing all the icons i can use over here so i may end up scraping up the money to get a paid account.

To be honest i read the post and thought that they were giving the extra icons to placate the paid users who complained that the free users who chose to display ads would get a few extra icons (whenever they actually enact that).

Man, and here I was like, Awesome, I have 107 icons...of which I have only 64 uploaded, hmmm.

Apparently, paid users aren't bringing in enough if LJ is now resorting to ads....
