Eh, more [info]customers_suck. This isn't all that hot, but it's just...it's like a meta wank. Faeries, wolves, and e-AIDS (like e-ebola, but with more killing power than before!). We even start out with a return from [info]tigerwolf!

[info]bloodyheadfaery posts in C_S about the rude people she encounters while working in market research. Right out the gate is [info]tigerwolf with Get off my phone! Proceed with the e-lawyering and "Beware the mail room bitch...er...friend I have at the FCC! Bonus points for involving the FTC!"

Various people follow arguing if this is rude.

Oh? All you people who didn't find me funny or agree with me? Have some e-AIDS!

I did market research until I realized I was hating myself all the time I spent awake, and seriously hang ups? I didn't care. I was interrupting their dinner, and I didn't really expect anyone to thank me for it. But when they'd say “Some other time,” and then hang up? I knew they didn't mean it, but I had to call them back. God I hated that. And they'd say the exact same thing and hang up again and again. God, people. Please, stop trying to spare the phone-monkey's feelings.

I've gotten so sick of that community. >.< It's like two in every ten posts is legit and the other eight is mass amounts of whining why the customer didn't use their pyschic powers to respect what they define as etiquette.

Am I the only one who is completely and utterly content to either listen to the script, say no politely, and hang up if they don't stop talking after I've said no (unless it's a survey - I like surveys), not answer the phone in the first place, or if I'm really that desperate to not be disturbed, unplug the damn phone? Because all I ever hear when people complain (and distressingly violently at that) is "WAAAAAH! WAH WAH WAAAAAAAAAH!"

Your phone is not private. You pay an outside provider for phone service - you do not own it. Hell, even the phone itself used to be property of the phone company.
