People have sex in College? NO WAI!
Girl posts amusing entry about sexual misadventures in her dorm room.

barbedvelvet thinks anyone having sex in a dorm room is disrepectful (ORLY?). . . or something. Not that she doens't have sex, oh no. It's just that she's respectful about it. YA RLY.

Rest of community points and laughs. SRSLY.

... I was conceived in a dorm room.

I've been in this dorm room (now an office) and had to physically restrain my mother from leaving a note on the poor person's Post-it notes.

*long suffering sigh*

Sounds like something got left behind in the arse region during her last "respectful" encounter.

College sex? Meh. I'm just praying my apt-mate didn't hear my girlfriend and I when we were dating, as she's the omg!black people and queers? type.
Then again, mayhap it was good for her.

Well...I do think you should be *respectful* to other people's rooms and try to keep it quieter, but really, it's college. What does she expect to happen? Personally, if I was one of the dormates, I'd just stick some headphones on. If it got to the point where even *that* wasn't working, then I'd get irritated.

But, srlsy, this exchange made me smile:

Boy: "Do you have any....tape?"

Me: "Tape? Oooh. That's different..."

Boy: "No, no, I mean for the bed"

This is why I love my Honor Code. You can confront people about loud sexxorz.

Alternatively, you can get a bunch of hallmates together, stand outside the offending couple's door, and applaud loudly when they finish.

People in dorm rooms that get pissed off cause they hear neighbors going at it...are jealous.

Oh yeah i was insanely jealous of the 19 year old skeezer guy and his 42 year old crack ho who used to bump uglies loudly in the dorm most every night. I just fucking hate that argument that people who object to anyone's sexual habits are just jealous because they aren't getting any.

I never had sex with another person in the dorm. I didn't mind if those in nearby rooms did as long as they didn't bother me. I did mind when my suitemate got caught with her boyfriend in the dorm and locked herself in. I did discover that it was impossible to unlock a bathroom door slide lock from the outside with a nail file.
I did once spend the night in a nearby motel with two other girls, a Marine, a bunch of tatoo magaizines and a videotape of Resivoir Dogs.

Loud sex? Pffft. That's child's play. Being trapped in the electric power-less upstairs apartment and having to listen to your psychotic landlady and her equally psychotic offspring throw furniture at each other while the cop sirens blare and there's a hailstorm raging outside...Now that's grating.

I never lived in a dorm. But I don't understand the need to push the beds together. Two people can fit in the same single bed for sex. Trust me on this one.

(When you want to lie down next to each other and sleep, yeah, then you have a problem.)

Pft. Yeah. Because annoying sex noise only happens in dorm.

*shudder* Can I tell you how disturbing it is to know that my former upstairs neighbor barks like a chihuahua when she's having sex? And it was only when I realized that Chihuahua's can't say "oh god! yes!" that I figured out what I was actually hearing every night.

In retrospect, I wish to fuck that my dorm neighbors had been having sex. Because if they'd been having sex, they couldn't have been standing right outside my door exchanging drunk talk at the top of their lungs at 5:30 in the morning instead.

(One of them laughed just like Burgess Meredith as the Penguin on the 1960s "Batman," I swear to god. That sort of nasal, quacking "HANH-hanh-hanh!" If I'd ever found out who it was, I would have laughed at her for that way more than I would have for any noisy sexings.)

Okay, I think you can be respectful and have sex in your dorm room (therefore Miss Thang is spouting BS), but there's also a right way and a wrong way about it. Watch as I overshare!

Right: Fucking your SO when your roomie's gone for the weekend. Or, at the very least, making sure your SO leaves in the morning if roomie has classes.

WRONG WRONG DON'T DO: Fucking your SO when you share a room with someone and the beds are less than three feet apart, manipulating your roomie with sob stories about a school night being the only night you can get together, loudly fucking in the shower several times when your roomie is trying to sleep on the living room couch six feet away (four girls, two rooms, and one very cramped apartment), and convincing SO to stay for the night so roomie can't get dressed in the morning because she is utterly creeped out by him sleeping in her bed.

Guess who was the roomie in the second scenario! :D

I don't get what's so dang wanky about what this person is saying in the first place. Like, everybody does it, so it's not rude? Walls are thin in a dorm room, so it's not rude? How are those excuses? People could have an exam the next day or something.

Ugh. Thank god I go to school so close to home that it would be pointless to live elsewhere. I'd have to choke some bitches if I woke up to that.

When I was in college, someone living in the floor above me was having crazy amounts of sex at all times of the day, as evidenced by the endless SQUEAKA SQUEAKA SQUEAKA of bedsprings I could hear through the ceiling. It was insanely annoying for me, because I liked to study/sleep in my room, both of which were hard with the noise upstairs. My roommate slept like a log and studied at the library, so she wasn't as bothered by it.

My freshman year, my roommate would bring home a different frat boy every weekend (usually around 4 am) drunk off her ass, and they would proceed to have grunty, rather miserable sounding sex for about two minutes total, after which he would leave and she would puke on her bed. Lather, rinse, repeat. Then she'd get up, go to church, and talk about Jesus Christ, her personal Lord and Savior the rest of the week.

I have a single and a boyfriend and thin walls. I have been asked to keep it down/play music over it. What was weird about that was that after four months of sex in the room like 4 or 5 times a week, they waited until the semester I started being sick all the time and had sex, like, three times a *month* in the room, to complain. Like, why wouldn't they want to be put out of their misery sooner? o_O

So now I play godawful horrible songs like "Milkshake" when my boyfriend and I go at it. My passive-aggressive way of complying... *puts on halo clumsily* Oh, well. We're loud, but we don't have sex at night when people are trying to sleep, so I think things could be worse. I do have to wonder if the neighbors who gave me a note gave one to the girl on the other side of me, who has sex just as often and pretty audibly over *her* shitty music. Because if they didn't, that's pretty lame. :-P
