Soap drama (of the non-opera kind) It was only a matter of time before we heard from thebitingfaery again, I suppose. I hear about that all the time, LOL! Soap makers with their samples at fairs and people eat the damn samples. Just for reference, don't be fooled by the natural ingredients ploy. We say that because legally, soap, according to the FDA, can only be made from alkali and fats (those things in the grocery stores are DETERGENT bars and not allowed to call themselves soap. Look at the label. Beauty bars, bath bars, but not soap). So since soap, real soap, IS made from more or less natural ingredients (not organic, there's no such thing as a lye tree so no soap is organic. Don't EVER be tricked by that) we say it's natural. But unless the scent is made from essential oils, none of the scents are natural at all. We all get them from the same places online. They're fragrance oils, not essential oils. And you might want to check their colors too. Some people splurge and use the micas and others use melted Crayola crayons so don't get too carried away with the word, "natural." thebitingfaery interjects (and seems to have not fully read the comment she had just replied to): Not all soaps are made from lye. thebitingfaery keeps missing the point Finally, Rather small, yet rather tasty (quite unlike soap . . .) |
