Goth Vengeance and BRPS: The Romance that wasn't Meant to Be
*ahem* A friend of mine noticed this wank going on, and pointed it out to me. Now it's here for everybody to enjoy!

Once upon a time, a very lovely young lady had the ever loving shit beat out of her by this punkass bitch. Word of the event is posted, in the hopes that this guy can be brought to justice. People are encouraged to spread the word, which generally isn't a bad idea...

That is, until somebody spreads it to the Bad RPers Suck community.

Reactions are varied. Included in that link of magic and wonder are people complaining about the lack of LJ cut, people complaining about the people complaining, some cries of vengeance, claims that "you're only upset because she's pretty" and general apathy about the event. Such is the way of the internet. Either way, it's a veritable grab bag of reactionary posts.

I dunno if my moment of bitchiness counts as wank, exactly, but the constant repitition of "She was so byooootiful!" was, as I said, grating. I didn't do it anywhere else!

I was with you on that. I didn't say anything anywhere, because I'm not in any comms that this got posted to, but the constant repetition of "she's beautiful, you know" was a bit unnerving.

I mean, what happened to her is downright horrifying, and I wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully the fucker gets what's coming to him, but "zomg pretty girl attacked" shouldn't be the focal point, instead of, y'know, "sociopath beats shit out of supposed friend."

My understanding, which granted is fifth-hand, is that she's a model of some sort. So by fucking up her face, he not only almost killed her, he also put her out of work until she recovers. If people know that, I can see where those comments are coming from, kind of, in a sideways way. If not, well, meh to them.

It's still not ok to kick ugly people in the face with steel-toed boots.

I couldn't find anything supporting this in a quick google, but my impression is for assault, especially if it's a first offense, is fairly short sentence with parole really quick. Like a five year sentence and out in a year. But like I said, couldn't find any support for that impression. *sigh*

Bleh, this showed up this morning in bad_sex. Thankfully, the mods deleted it, apparently because whoever posted it refused to put it behind an lj cut. Plus, off-topic.

It was ugly (and I don't just mean the damage done to this poor girl); there was someone sneering that anybody concerned about triggers should just take themselves off the internet if they were that sensitive (note: the bad_sex userinfo specifically says "no rape or assault stories plz!"), and someone else who said, "sorry if you were like, triggered or something, but the needs of others come first!" I had fun exploding on that one's ass. (This is clearly not someone who's spent hours trying to keep a triggered friend from going to find the nearest freeway.) I'm almost sorry it got deleted.

Seriously, her "friends" are not helping the matter much. They are busy telling off people on the internet for not caring enough, and posting this story to unrelated communities in the vain hope that someone who even lives in the AREA will be able to help? WTF?

No. I really don't feel sorry for it.

*shrugs* Some can call me self-centred idiot. But ya know, every single day people (not just women) are getting beaten by boyfriends/girlfriends/lovers/whatever. And some of those people also have warrants out for their arrest as well. And some do things jsut as badly as was done to her, some do worse.

I just don't;

1) See what that has to do with rp-ing. I like my fantasy and reality separate, please to not be bringing my former reality into my fantasy kthx.
2) See what makes this situation any different than hundreds of thousands (Alright, maybe slight exaggeration) of other situations across the country.

Those are my opinions. *shrugs* Yep I wanked. But at least, I admit it when I do.

First, love the hair, think the girl is kinda hot (pre-wounds). Hope that they can make everything in that department right again. But even if they can't, her genes still deserved to go into the next generation, based on my assessment. What happened to her makes me want to cuddle and comfort her, but I'm pathologically a Cancer, so that's expected.

Second, I surely hope the bastard gets what's coming to him and soon. You just don't do that. Especially not with that phone call as well.

Third, I wish the friends would stop crossposting this over the Internet/LJ. Looking for him in the goth LJs and in LJs related to the New Orleans area (as well as his hometown, if he's not from NOLA) is fine. Posting to bad_sex and bad_rpers_suck, however, just smacks of attention seeking. Of course, if he turns up here, I'll have no problem putting a few curses on his ass and ensure that he gets handed over to authorities, but that's neither here nor there.

I must ask why the white supremacists are after the asshole. Doesn't really matter, as he deserves whatever violence comes his way, but still, non sequitur.
