Tasty Feminist Wank
So Anti-feminism is a community dedicated to ripping on, basically, Feminist and Feminist_Rage (you remember these communities - they're the ones with the super special "safe-space-if-you-happen-to-agree-with-us" rules.)

The fun starts when [info]mrfappityfap posts, calling the feminist_rage posters whiners, bitches and basically the most closed-minded people ever to promote open-mindedness." Most of the posters agree, although some point out that women don't, perhaps, inhabit the happy-fluffy-discrimination-free land the OP seems to suggest.

Fortunately, special guest visitors from Feminist show-up to bring the wank. [info]thelastsplash warns the apparently innocent newcomer [info]crazy_alexy that she might not want to hang out with ANTI-FEMINISTS, and the rest of the thread is pure gold. In particular, don't miss the special guess appearance by Femininst-moderator [info]hexennacht ("safe space" apparently only applies to your OWN feminist community and TheLastSplash's attempt to really elevate the level of discourse.

[info]mrfappityfap has the coherence and debating skills of a 4 year old (and then, I've known 4 year olds who were tougher debaters).

These women are whiners, bitches and basically the most close-minded people to ever promote open-mindedness.

Oh, honey, I guarantee I'm not "open-minded" about people like you - if by "open-minded" you mean "not critical". I'm a feminist, and I think you're a self-centered, naive, anti-choice dumbass. Also, you're a member of [info]proanorexia, which really doesn't come as a recommendation, to me.

Wow, I'm so not open-minded. Sob.

women are raped in this country less than half as often as men are

Is this some kind of joke? First, even if it were true, how does that invalidate feminism and what it represents (the radical notion that women, 50% of Earth population, deserve the same respect and rights as men, oh my the nerve)? And second, is there some sort of rape-victim competition going on we're not aware of?

Wow, a reasonable sized feminism wank, and still no sign of Ginmar...is she on holiday or has her brain finally exploded from all the rage she seems to carry round with her?

Ginmar is busy being racist here. I couldn't even finish reading the post, but I'm sure there's some wank in the comments. I mean, she's Ginmar. Incidently, we're already snarking about it here. For that matter, I won't be surprised if it gets crossposted in ap_racism and/or debunkingwhite, if it hasn't already.

Why does internet feminism make me want to marry the first bloke I see, quit my job, tear up my degree, throw away my shoes and walk barefoot in the kitchen, and start popping out babies like the human race was an endangered species?

Normally, the effects of (some) internet feminists are countered by the stupidity demonstrated by (all) internet anti-feminists.

It's a bit like the anti-choice people: they make me want to have an abortion just to spite them.

A lot of the members of anti_feminism are also members of feminist. In theory, anti_feminism isn't a bad idea. It was intended as a critique of the flaws of feminist: things like U.S/Western-centric outlook, a predominately white membership, et cetera. Unfortunately, anti_feminism is a better idea in theory then it is in practice, but that's why you have so much membership crossover.

Meanwhile, women are raped in this country less than half as often as men are (including, as feminists are not wont to do, prison populations). There is a growing scholastic achievement gap between men and women, and it is not at all favorable to men. Women hired out of college today earn more than men, in the same positions. Men are much more likely to commit suicide, be murdered, be the victim of an assault, be incarcerated, etc. Men are more likely to have longer prison sentences for the same crimes as women. Almost all of the most dangerous jobs in this country, those with the highest rates of fatality, are filled by men. Almost all military casualties are men. Men in this country have virtually no child custody rights.

As you can see, the patriarchy is out to get women. I'd be pissed if my markers were pink, or if someone wore a t-shirt, too.

....

Isn't it just awful to have a penis?
Isn't it plain frightening to have a dong?
It's a shame to have a stiffy
It's so dreadful to own a dick,
From the weariest little weenie
To the world's biggest prick...

Well, if the trend grows, the college gap WILL be quite disturbing. As it is, more women enroll and even more graduate.

Well, it might be that male-on-male prison rape happens so often that the total number of male-on-male rape incidents is twice as much as the incidents of women being raped. But this would mean a small set of men being raped over and over and over, as opposed to a large set of women who are raped once or twice in their lives.

Men in this country have virtually no child custody rights.

...which is why, of course, fathers are given primary custody in ~70% (though that number's a few years old now) of the cases in which they actually request custody.

The counter-claim to that fact is that father's lawyers advise them to not make a request for primary custody unless they have a very, very good case for it (because the system is so biased against fathers), and that's why there's the 70% statistics claim. I really have no clue, since I haven't done any sort of research into child custody statistics, although I'm not sure how one would validate the "the 70% is because fathers only make a request for primary custody when the evidence is very good" thing without using annecdotal evidence.

I honestly can NOT believe the hypocrisy of these women. I can't think of a single thing we aren't able to do that men can OTHER THAN BE DRAFTED.
But...we don't even HAVE a draft right now, mainly because there was a huge outcry after Vietnam. So why is this card being pulled out?

From another poster:
Almost all of the most dangerous jobs in this country, those with the highest rates of fatality, are filled by men.
If this is to be believed (and I take it with a huge grain of salt) it's because men *choose* more dangerous jobs than women. It's not like companies pull unsuspecting men off the street and say: "You! Pushing the baby on the swing! You will go fix telephone poles."
