"Am I a strange attractor for wank? Don't answer that."
Thanks, helpful mousie on [info]wank_report!

Over on [info]fatshionista, a post was made along the lines of, "Please don't wear clothes not in your size." Or something. No one is really sure. It ended being deleted, by whom, no one knows. ataniell93 IS sure and posts a new post to complain, clarify, and preach..

I see the post about people wearing clothes that are too tight has been deleted.

That is a shame. Because I'm sorry, this is a reality. It is not fat-phobic to point out that just because you can get a piece of cloth around your body, doesn't mean you should. Hear me out before you start flaming and call out the political police....

The OP was not saying fat people should never wear tight clothing. Fat people often look excellent in tight clothing that fits them. The OP was complaining about people who are a size 24, but buy a 13 because they want to wear something the store doesn't have in a 24 (which is understandable, but you can find most styles online nowadays) or because, as my roommate did, they want to SAY they wear a 13. If anything, this is internalised fat-phobia...

I'm going to be more than a little annoyed if this becomes a place where you can't say that some people make bad wardrobe choices, because we all know that's true.

Naturally, there is some confusion, outrage, and generally teal dear as everyone wonders exactly what the OP's deleted post was actually about. Some people call for protests. ataniell93, in true Nice Girl form, tells people they are interrogating the comm from the wrong perspective. Some people have strange arguments.

After [info]fancymcsnazsnaz (why must it be so long?) questions Ataniell's user info, she makes a much wankier ETA:

ETA to those who keep quoting the userinfo: YES, I am in fact aware that this community has an activist base and is intended to have some political discussion, but to my way of thinking, that does not necessarily have to involve political analyses of of every cotton-pickin' utterance that is made in it, to the exclusion of any fashion-related point. The point I am trying to make is not that understand this community to be EXCLUSIVELY fashion-oriented, but rather that it is, in fact, ALSO meant to include fashion-related content, including discussions of what does and doesn't necessarily work for some body types, and what clothing means, what messages it sends, rather than being a self-congratulatory "we are all beautiful snowflakes no matter how ridiculous we in fact may look in X" type community.

I also would like to point out that if you're going to talk politics, you'd better be prepared to accept that not everyone shares the same politics. There are actually Republicans in this community, believe it or not. At least two. Not everyone here is as far to the left as some of you seem to be.

If this community's definition of politics is "left wing only" the maintainers need to put that in the userinfo.

People take offense.

Every time Ataniell is accused of racism, JKR kills a death eater. Please. Think of the Death Eaters. They think of you. Purged from the earth, you filthy muggle.

Bonus! Somebody thought that icon was offensive and sent an e-mail! Ataniell tells all on her LJ! Also, tip for those with eyes that bleed at Ataniell's Pepto pink: ?style=mine is your friend! ETA: Friendslocked now. Oh, poop.

Moral of the story: PC? Ataniell don't need your stinking PC!

ETA: Also? Ataniell pisses off a mod. I now think the moral of the story is that Ataniell has no sensitivity whatsoever.
