[info]cf_hardcore is frequently home to some unpopular rants. Mostly though, the folks in [info]cf_hardcore agree with one another. Well, this time [info]foulmouthedb posts a rant that even the hardcore find appalling. It's little, but really quite amusing.

ETA: [info]symbeline is spooging all over my thread. Anybody got a mop?

[info]foulmouthedb often seems to be able to shock even the hardcore. Lots of anger that person has. And to be honest i think they're damn cold hearted about the fact that they don't really give a crap about the girl missing and probably dead, just that she's attractive and it's a nice entertaining story for them. And then saying that parents who have missing kids and complain that they aren't getting the attention this case is should shut up? PLEASE. Those parents are correct; this case is only getting the attention it is because she's a pretty, white girl from a good family.

Well, I was happy to see someone else who liked Silent Hill and hates Walker, Texas Ranger. (Why, why, is that show in reruns so often?)

But serioiusly, I don't get the OP at all. She seems to have totally lost track of the fact that Natalie Holloway and other missing kids are real people, not TV shows with good or bad ratings.

I can understand the sentiment that the Natalee Holloway thing is being "overhyped" (I hate using that word in this sense, but it's the closest thing I can think of) but... huh. While her vitriol annoys me, I think I've identified what my problem with this was. See, if she was ranting about a kid under, say, ten I think I could understand the "crotchfruit" comment.

...is there a line at which someone is no longer a crotchfruit/dropping/spawn/yeastbud?

Yeah, I can't bring myself to care about missing kid news anymore. Here, we have a system, the Amber Alert, that puts bulletins on TV and the radio. They just found two black boys who were kidnapped from a park dead in some river. It was reported by the parents right after they vanished, but the government decided not to publicize it. I wonder why.

* The only reason Mom and I got out of watching Fox News all weekend the last time we went to visit them was that Fox was covering the hell out of the Holloway case. The two of them were very offended by this because it was all her fault that she was killed and they couldn't understand why anyone would be upset over this.
