Yeah, this is really one of those THINGS no one tells you outside lovely books like 'Our Bodies Ourselves'. No penetrative sex after the water breaks because of the risk of infection, but fingers and tongues and one imagines external vibrators would be a-ok. Orgasms flood the body with oxytocin, which is, after all, what they inject women with to 'induce' labor. The reason so many natural childbirth advocates recommend putting the infant to suckle immediately (or as close to it as possible) is that the suckling on the nipples also releases oxytocin which helps with the quick, complete expulsion of the placenta.

	I don't know if I'd want sex, per se, during the actual end parts of labor, but if my guy wanted to get me off manually, hell, why not? It'd feel good and be a nice little distraction from the pain.
