Battle of the Best English Students!
Over in [info]were_not_hungry [info]run__ho makes a post featuring an editoral that will run in her school newspaper.

[info]aestheticwishes starts the ball rolling by pointing out something that could be fixed in the article, [info]run__ho is not amused.

Then [info]plainoljane also decides to give [info]run__ho some grammar and writing tips.

[info]run__ho declines. [info]plainoljane fights back!

run__ho: "Mmm, I disagree. I'm a good writer, I'll stick to what I think is right unless the Editor in Chief suggests different."

plainoljane: "I'm an Honours English student at one of the best universities in Canada, and you're rejecting my writing tips. Foolish of you, being that you're a high school student."

run__ho: "You're not that great a writer. Get off your high horse and come back when you have had something published (not in a high school paper)."

plainoljane: "I am a great writer, and you're the one on the high horse."

----

aestheticwishes: "Quit kidding yourself. You're not a good writer and everything plainoljane said was right.

run__ho: "Yes. I am a good writer. I wouldn't have three teachers writing me letters of recommendation to universities due to my articles if I wasn't."

plainoljane: "You probably blew them."

[info]sherimei stops by on page two to tell us that "No one cares, it is fucking Canada. Maybe if it was Havard, Yale, something that we all know about, but no one knows anything about Canadian Universities." and "..puncuation is now a style and choice of writing according to most teachers/professors." (*sniff* Someone should have told that to my English teachers.)
