Breast feeding wank in customers_suck
Over in the community that's been bringing some wank recently, physidork posts about some breast feeding activists having some apparent issues with a onesie that can be found at local stores with bullseyes on them. The onesies feature the words "Formula 4 Success" with a picture of a bottle (sorry, can't find picture on company website... my Target-search fu is weak, apparently). The activists have been waging a hideous guerilla war on these heinous onesies, hiding them hither and yon throughout the bullseye in the hopes that employees will be fed up enough with cleaning up the mess that they convince corporate to pull the onesies. Physidork asks them to please to be stopping the mess making, as it's not really going to win over the employees.

A few people chime in that they agree with the sentiment, but agree the onesie hiders are being, perhaps, a bit over the top. There's a few snarky bits, but everything stays surprisingly civil until this comment from Lizziey starts the splooging.

Well, maybe if you employees stop just letting it go and start bitching about it, along with all of our emails, they will start to listen. I do not live near a target, but if i was, i would sit under those shirts and breastfeed all day. And no one could ask me to leave, ha.

And be happy everyone isn;t going with the idea of putting stickers over the barcods, and marker over the tag code. They are just moving teh stuff, not making it unsellable.

Physidork states that that would be treading the line of theft, and they're off. Highlights include:

Actually, if I were sitting there breastfeeding they could not ask me to leave. I have the right to breastfeed anywhere that I have the right to be, period.

Do you really think they care?

Hm. Somehow I doubt that war protesters were given a "bad rep" because they staged a sit in, even though it was illegal. Oh, wait. That is what made them protestors, huh?

Thread for those two quotes is here.

Personally, I don't really have a say in this (can't have kids, argument is moot for me... don't know how my friends were fed, didn't ever come up in conversation). But oy... honestly... since when does treading on the employees EVER matter to corporate?

My first report.. hopefully it's not terribly sucktastic.
