cali4niachef is informed by LJ Abuse her default icon is inappropriate and to cease using it by the 23rd or face having her account suspended.

LJ isn't saying that people can't use a nursing icon, they're saying people can't have one as their default icon. Because in some communities/places such an image would be considered inappropiate, you can disagree about it being inappropiate or not, but that's still the concern. To me it kinda falls under there's a time and place for whipping out a boob in public, actually feeding a child is fine, that's actually neccessary. showing off a picture of feeding a child not so much as that isn't neccessary.

AlsoDefault icons cannot be hidden, and there are lots of other places where they show up then just on a post, user info for one. If you look up a particular interest you get a page of other people interested in the same thing showing their default icons and when they last updated. LJ is just completely covering their asses and saying that any uncovered boob can't be used for a default icon and no a kid sucking on it doesn't count as a cover.

Maybe it's because they're nursing at the keyboard and there's some sort of magic green glow that infuses mommy milk with extra special vitamins but only if the default icon is in sync with them.

I can't believe I just typed that out.
