Knitting Wank!
Ahh, I love the smell of wank in the morning!

So anyway, over on the Knitting community on El Jay, a poster gives the link to the new 'surprise' patterns on Knitty, including one to a child's top that many people dislike. But the spittle really hits the fan in this thread. Be sure to stay on the lookout for cannibal comparisons and grammar mockery!

you may as well get used to seeing breastfeeding icons in a knitting comm, because the two sets have some overlap. :)

Maybe I've seen too many people in halters, too many people who wear them in utterly unflattering ways and with their bra straps sticking out, but halter tops are not sexy.

Eeeh. While seeing skimpy stuff on teenyboppers annoys me, I can't really care about scantilly clad babies. While a teenybopper associates the lack of material with being 'sexy' and attracting boys, babies don't have that kind of thought process. If it keeps the kid cooler in hot weather, then I don't see anything wrong with it.

The halter reminds me of my feelings on babies in bikinis: namely, more skin to tickle and snuggle and kiss. It's not a sexual thing, it's that most babies delight in contact.

That skirt, though? Maybe it could be cute in another color, but orange and purple? Ow. No thanks.

Kepharel: english is a rather precise language and it's entirely possible to say exactly what you think. i did so, and you've taken my words to ridiculous extremes.

Jennybunny: If you're going to attack my use of the English language I suggest you start using capital letters.

No, dear. She wasn't attacking your *use* of the English language, merely your ability to *read* it. Which, I might add, you've just further called into question.

Yes. A halter top is FAR to sexy to put on a baby... who would probably just prefer to wander around naked anyway.

Yep. Them's logical values for you.
