The Ongoing Saga of the Boob Nazis
So we've all noticed the Boob Nazi wank trend going on lately. Well today, the Boob Nazis FINALLY take on...the CFers! Dun-dun-DUNNN.

As some of you know, the Boob Nazis have decided to delete their LJs for one day over the breastfeeding icon wank. Well, the CFers found out about this, and decided to stage a "counter protest." They plan to update all their journals and make comments for every journal they see deleted on their f-list.

Well, the Boob Nazis found out about it.

That's not all! The CFers found out about the Boob Nazis finding out!

Not the reglious wankalypse I had been hoping to see, but it's a fairly good substitute.

ETA: Some of the non-deleters give us their thoughts on yaoi the wank. Meanwhile, the boob_nazis community mod is pissed about the deletions!

ETA 2: Oh snap! Here's a huge wanking over on booju_mooju!

But didn't you know that even if you adopt you should try to breastfeed?

Seriously, people do this. I've known one woman personally who did. Thus, ALL adoptive mothers must do it.

It's too late. You will never bond with the kid. May as well get used to a lifetime of misery and heartbreak.

True story: sitting with two of my coworkers, one of which brought his kid into work. (Yeah. Don't ask.) The other confides that he and his wife have been trying to have a baby for a few years, nothing's happening, and they've decided to adopt. Offspring-enabled coworker goes "yeah, but you'll never bond with the baby right. You need to be with them from the very beginning." I'm like, "yeah. too bad they didn't think of that before they so wilfully FAILED TO BE FERTILE." Ugh.

Wow. That's just pure classy right there.

Funny. I'm able to bond just fine with plenty of people which I certainly haven't known since birth. I must be gifted or something.

I'm sure my adopted Romanian and Russian cousins would have something to say to that asshole. It'd probably involve kicking.

What a tactless bitch.

Because, really, humans are like chickens and can only bond with one individual from the moment of hatching birth.

Maybe he could go fling that opinion at the army mom from a previous wank, the one who got attacked for leaving her child with her mother for six months while she took care of her obligations to the US military.

How does someone that stupid hold a job?

My older daughter is more bonded with her adopted father than she is with me, her birth mother. That's probably because I didn't breastfeed her. Woe is me.

I know people who say that about dogs -- that if you don't get a puppy you'll never bond with it.

I didn't realize people said it about children, too.

Or take in a foster kid? I can't see Children's Aid, or whatever the local equivalent would be, looking too kindly on me holding some poor kid up to my tit until I lactate.

Depending on how old the kid is, it'd probably just prompt them to take the kid right back, at the very least.

I ended up on a site about that, and they mentioned that there was an older method where you just kinda put the kid to your breast and hoped that eventually, if you kept doing it, someday you'd start to produce milk.

I just kept thinking how confused that baby must get. "What? Why am I here? Nothing's happening!"

It actually doesn't take that long to induce lactation, and there are drugs and herbs you can take to speed things along. But still, the baby's got to eat something in the meantime... too bad no one's invented a substance that would cover such situations.

I knew about the drugs (which makes sense, considering there's dsrugs to stop lactation) but I'm glad to hear it doesn't take long, because all joking aside, that seems like such a sad sort of wait, hoping that one day it'll happen.

Gosh, wouldn't that be wonderful if someone did? Oh, how helpful it would be to women who can't lactate for whatever reason, or to single fathers, or... gosh, just everyone!

Oh, if only!

There was this woman on this documentary who breastfed her son until he was five because she wanted to keep her milk flowing for the Chinese orphan she'd been trying to adopt for the past four years.

The Chinese orphan, when she arrived, was eighteen months, weaned, and really didn't seem too happy about having a tit shoved in her face every five minutes, but this woman was determined to the point of being scary.

There was also another woman who was still breastfeeding her TEN YEAR OLD.

She was a bit weird. Her kids were sat around drawing pictures of mummy's breasts and giving them cutesy nicknames, which was strange and sinister coming from an eight and ten year old.

I was wondering when this wank would show up - I hardly paid attention to it on LJ. All I thought was "*snigger* Titwank" and rolled my eyes a bit, which surely makes me a callous individual and a bad feminist, but hey, I was bottlefed.

IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, MOTHER! ;-)
