Stop blaming your fake disease!!
So, over on [info]bad_service [info]elitist_maus posts a complaint about the lack of vegetarian options at her college cafeteria. She also mentions the fact that she has social anxiety disorder.

Replies are standard until [info]gridlore shows up to drop this little gem:

OK, I'd never heard of social anxiety disorder. So I looked it up.

Amazing. Evidently being shy and lacking self-confidence is now a disease. When I was a shy teenager, it was something that you were expected to get over. And we did, oddly enough, because nobody was telling us it was all right and pushing pills at us.

I don't doubt for a moment that you do have some serious problems with interacting with people, and that your shyness interferes with your daily activities, but please don't try to justify it with a phony disease label.

And we're off!!

Kind of small right now, but my fingers are crossed that it'll grow.

EDIT: He's made [info]stupid_free Thank you mousie!!
