This is WAR!
risk declares war on MetaFilter.

What else needs to be said, really.

edit: apparently deleted - though usually deleted threads can still be read (they're just not on the main page). I'm not sure if this is a members-only feature though.

Is there a website that reproduces another site?

You can still read the comments - deletion just takes it away from the front page.

The internet is not a democracy. It is a theocracy. The moderator is your God.

Lol! Thanks for the comments about this; your responses sure are a lot more civilized than those Meta-folk's are. I'm beginning to think that they actually think I'm being serious! Too funny.

Anyway, and again, thanks for the link and civilized discussion!

Oh come on, guys, this has to be satirical. It's so delightfully silly. :-) I won't believe for a minute Risk was taking his/herself at all seriously when he/she wrote it.

My theory has always been that if you have to be a troll, you might as well be a silly one! Seriously, though, we obviously violated Metafilter's TOS, but our actions were borne more of ignorance than maliciousness. Fact is that shortly after we created our blog we posted one entry to Metafilter, an entry that was not removed or censored in any way. Because of this we went on to post two more over the following six weeks, both of which were yanked without explanation (though it turns out there was an explanation if you look at the deleted posts; at the time we didn't know you *could* look at deleted posts, though!).

Anyway, lesson learned. What lesson? That metafilter is clearly communist, of course! ;)
