Abortion Debate / Satire Wank
Over on the March Together for Life blog, Pete misses the point of an article from The Onion:

Miss Weber, you have killed your child, which you admit is a baby/human being, intentionally. That does make you an admitted murderer. I'm not going to "condemn you to hell", I'm going to pray for your forgiveness and for the suffering which you will endure when you realize what you have done. Every baby you see from that moment on is going to wake you up to the realization that you killed your child.

Miss Weber is, of course, a fictional person in a newspaper devoted entirely to satire.

People comment, letting him know what they think of people who take satire seriously.

Funny enough, but he decides to respond to those who told him the article was fake:
"Either way, I think I did a good job of turning the “satire” right back at them, don’t you?"

Survey says? No.

The brand-spankin' new Wikipedia entry for March Together for Life just makes it.

"On July 12, 2006, the blogger claimed that the critique to The Onion article was itself "a joke, which obviously thousands of you didn't get". The blogger also disabled comments (and Trackbacks) to the blog at this point, though the comment threads remained accessible via their original URLs."

...damn, I love you, intrawebs. XD

Don't know if someone's said it already, but we were linked over on FARK.

The FARK thread on this has links to the comments. The blogger deleted the link, but the comments page is up, and people are still posting. This one is classic

From here:

Oral contraceptives cause abortions too, just at an earlier stage than hospital abortions.

Salon has an article about this, including an interview with him. (http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2006/07/14/onion_blogger/) (It's paid content, but you can read the first paragraph or two and choose to watch an ad to continue.)

He is profoundly dense, and I'm beginning to pity him. Not that pity is a good thing.
