Abortion Debate / Satire Wank
Over on the March Together for Life blog, Pete misses the point of an article from The Onion:

Miss Weber, you have killed your child, which you admit is a baby/human being, intentionally. That does make you an admitted murderer. I'm not going to "condemn you to hell", I'm going to pray for your forgiveness and for the suffering which you will endure when you realize what you have done. Every baby you see from that moment on is going to wake you up to the realization that you killed your child.

Miss Weber is, of course, a fictional person in a newspaper devoted entirely to satire.

People comment, letting him know what they think of people who take satire seriously.

Funny enough, but he decides to respond to those who told him the article was fake:
"Either way, I think I did a good job of turning the “satire” right back at them, don’t you?"

Survey says? No.

"And in your banner, is the sentence "We will end abortion through our unity and the Monthly Call for Life" a reference to a period? Serisouly, I didn't not know that the shedding of my unterine lining was actually a pro-life rally. I'll let my right-wing fallopian tubes have it later."

I can attest to this. My ovaries have the confederate flag tattooed on them.

It's all in how you look at it: Everytime I pull the feminine products from my cabinet (NOT a euphemism), I think of it as an affirmation of my anti-pro-life stance, seeing as how it means I'm not creating new life when I bleed.

I'm still gonna giggle about it for awhile. That's beautiful.
