Presidential Groping Wank
George W. Bush recently gave an unwelcome shoulder-squeeze to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. (Video footage here.)

Maybe POTUS (our Commander in Chief, the Leader of the Free World) is evolving in reverse, from an adolescent state backwards until he curls up into infancy.

Next time he runs into Chancellor Merkel, maybe he’ll pass her a note: “Do you like me? Check yes or no.” And then, a few months later, he’ll simply reach for her breast, hoping to suckle.

*shrug* Bush has always struck me as a rather touchy-feely guy, in terms of shaking hands and patting shoulders. It's not a huge deal.

It really isn't a huge deal with Southerners, I've found. My own father is very touchy-feely (especially since he grew up all over South America and the Deep South) though Americans in general (and some Europeans) tend to freak out over personal space.

Bush is a dumbass and I just wish Merkel had punched him. I would have if a creepy old man started touching me from behind without asking

I've read in a few places (like the feminist blog Pandagon) where German-based commenters are weighing in that physical contact is pretty uncommon unless with a family member or other personally close friend. So in the cultural context, Bush's drive-by shoulder grope is even more of a faux pas.
