Fat People Are People, Too! And I'll prove it with BOOBIES!
Over at Randompics, vaginavagina posts a pic of an older, not-exactly slender, couple kissing, including the caption "I don't like their bodies."

The thread is short and to the point, with the requisite "We can't all be size twos" and "Who cares, I think they're cute." and a couple of accusations of outright bigotry.

This isn't where the wank is, but it was the trigger.

The wank begins in the very next post, where mamagaea - the last respondant to the previous post, post this, calm, reasoned entry:

This is a direct response to the last post where vaginavagina didn't like the bodies of the two people kissing. I thought it was a beautiful expression of love and that should NEVER be admonished.

So, to you vaginavagina and everyone else whose eyes are too closed to see the beauty in each and every person who lives on this planet...

And then proceeds to post pics of assorted, topless, fat women.

phasmaphobic protests. Not the pictures, themselves, but the agenda-pushing.

Mamagaea tells Phasmaphobic to tell it to Vaginavagina.

Phasmaphobic responds by says he didn't see that post until after this one. And he thinks VV was simply stating an opinion, whereas Mamagaea is taking things personally and pushing an agenda "based on hate and intolerance", and ohbytheway, he's reporting this to the mods. (Nothing like overreacting to an overreaction, eh?)

Much back and forth sniping ensues.

Elsewhere, jarethcorvin1 thinks Mamagaea is perhaps tooting her own horn a bit?

couldntstayfree, too, thinks Mamagaea has blown things out of proportion.

But wait? Where's the obligatory "Fat People Suck" post?

Oh, here it is!

This is the first real wank I've seen from this comm, so I don't know how long it will last or how much it will grow. But it's nice and spoogy already!

(And is it just me, or does anyone else suspect that those last two pic are of mamagaea, herself?)

I agree with

jarethcorvin1. If Mamagaea wanted to do something for herself, she could have just posted it in her journal. Still post the picture in the community, maybe, but leave her comments out. Or just posted it as a reply to the actual post...

To be fair,

vaginavagina did staaaaarrrrt it. Still, she didn't say "OMG FAT AND OLD PEOPLE SHOULD DIE!". she just said she didn't like their bodies. Which is fair, I suppose. People like and are attracted to different body types.

	That was my reaction, too. The second thread is wanky from the first post on, but vaginavagina did a pretty good job of bringing the pure distilled essence of wank in as few words as possible. I'm a little baffled by that commentary, myself. By my estimates, they're really not that bad, nor as they dressing to emphasize their obesity. Just your average, middle-agish couple.

Really, how do these people function in the real world? I work retail, and I've gotten everthing from albinos to severely physically deformed children in my store. Obesity is really the least shocking of what I've seen. But y'know what? You can't pick and choose who walks into your store. We all have to live in this world, might as well make it a little better by acting like adults and treating people based on personality, rather than something as stupid as appearance.

	I wish to see more people with albinism and vitiligo where I am, personally. I know there's one woman who works downtown, has for years... her hair is long and purty. Notice the first and last have the same tattoo, though one of the pics is mirrored.
