NAAFA strikes again
This may be premature, but I suspect it will get far wankier very quickly. The title alone sets off massive alarm bells, and the Christian bashing is already starting. So, for you reading pleasure, the latest discussion at NAAFA (National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance):

Weight Loss Surgery and Abortion

Ironically, you know what the NAAFA folks are starting to remind me of?

Anorexics. Reducing everything in life down to one simple, controllable factor. That's why people treat you the way you do! That's what defines your life! Of course. There is nothing in life but weight, and it determines all.

Granted, this may just be on-topic factor: they talk as if weight defines life because it's a board about weight. Still... that's the impression I'm getting so far, and it's ... a little alarming.

The topic itself is nothing short of bizarre the whole way around. Making God in your image to the bitter end, saying you shouldn't pray for people if they're in danger after undergoing cosmetic surgery [so, say... someone breaks his leg playing sports, which is also optional; you shouldn't pray for him either?]... bizarre.

Eh? I don't see quoting Jhonen Vasquez as Christian bashing.

However, that dude who says Abortion is 100% fatal is offensive.

Me neither.

That, and the attempt to make abortion the main topic, were the wankiest part.
