Over on [info]iconrants, [info]lady_maethoriel posts a drama-tastic "I'M LEAVING!!!!!" rant, which, of course, causes nuttiness to ensue.

The entire thing is such a hilarious cry for attention that I'm going to put it under the cut (in case deletion happens).


1| [info]iconrants has become completely redundant. People post about the same damn things all the time. What's even the point anymore?

2| If you disagree with a post, why does EVERY SINGLE PERSON find it necessary to flame people about it? Doesn't anyone know how to say anything nice anymore?

3| The members of this community are immature, extremely rude, and have no class whatsoever. Including the head mod. Sorry, especially the head mod. I don't think the words 'kind' or 'nice' are in her vocabulary at all. And she thinks that I am an insult to idiots. Well then, you, madam, are an insult to people in general. Am I that important that you had to make a post in your journal just for me?!! WOW!!! THANK YOU!!! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that you care so much.

Adios, iconrants. You fucking suck.


I'm left wondering why people feel the need to make such a HUGE damn scene whenever they leave a community such as this.

It was a picture of Harry Potter with a light texture applied to it, making him look purple. The icon itself wasn't great but a lot of people like that style.

Sometimes I wonder just what form of strange logic takes over wankers' brains. Traditionally, in most cultures, when you don't care about something you ignore or avoid it. But in the still-mysterious Wanker Culture you show how much you don't care by spending hours typing frequently long replies about things you could care less about.

There's a sociological study in there somewhere.

It's kinda like Quantum Physics, in a way. Flies against the logic of the every day world, yet exists nonetheless. Utterly and brain-bendingly chaotic, so you can only talk about probabilities of things happening.

They're especially great when the poster acts as though s/he is genuinely trying to make the community aware of its 'problems', rather than just hoping and praying that they'll get a stream of comments saying "OMGZ NO PLZ DUN GO!!!"

I think it's justified if you've been a really active part of the community, and close to a lot of people in it, for years. Or you're a mod. Something where a lot of the members would actually care that you're going.
