OH! It's going to be unique, like Wumpscut!
Someone wants some help with their industrial music and claims that their project is "a new dark industrial project with stompy beats and harsh distorted vocals... along the lines of velvet acid christ, allied vision, wumpscut, etc. i'm already working with one other Reason user on this, but is anyone else interested in collaborating as well?"

One catch though, you CAN'T be CHRISTIAN!

The OP does not get the response he/she wished for.

Nice gem here: "I don't know why faith has anything to do with it, but if he is simply taking samples out of other people's work and hoping for innovation, I don't know if talent is going to have a factor it in either."

HEEE!

I think the person who pointed out that religion is a matter of choice, unlike race or gender or sexual orientation, has a point.

I don't think people who only date in their own religion are bigots, for instance; because there's nothing wrong with wanting to set up a family based in one's personal creed.

And while I think religious discrimination in hiring for jobs is wrong, if you are looking for an artistic collaborator, you'd want one with similar beliefs.

However, that was a wanky way to phrase things. Rather than "no Christians" the OP should probably have stated what kinds of beliefs that s/he wanted to promote with his/her work. And then the pool of applicants would self-select.

Yeah, he meant well, just didn't say it properly.

::nods:: Something like "The lyrics for this song will probably be offensive to those of strong Christian beliefs. Please don't volunteer if this is a problem for you." Would have been better.

Of course, not everybody wants their posts to sound like they've been edited by their publicist.

And the last post when I read it was a "this community is turning to crap" - every flamewar needs one of those. *thumbs-up*

wumpscut and not :wumpscut:? For shame. I got bitched out once for not spelling it :wumpscut: on a music board, and I barely know who the hell they are.

I was going to check to see how many comm's he/she belongs to, but I got distracted by the shiny:

Along those lines are fat girls in small corsets. Now, when I say fat, I mean fat, like 250 Plus. You can still wear a corset, but please, get one that fits. And don't try squeezing it too tight. Remember, all that shit will only compress so far, and if you try to squeeze your on hundred and fifty pound stomact to a size six, all you are going to accomplish is to force all that fat to the top and bottom edges of the thing creating grossly jiggling flaps of flesh.

*snerk!*

78? That's all? Fairly small amount even compared to myself, let alone some people I know.

I am insanely jealous of the fact that you have Greek TV and I do not.

My mother insisted on getting it for her birthday. She got a satellite seperate from the cable just to get it! :D

Made her feel like she was back home.

I'm just amused that the person (xaoswolf) who wrote "pretentious not really, but bigoted sure..." is the same person who wrote that any "Muslim who worships Allah" (is there any other kind?) would of course be happy that September 11 happened.

Guess there's only one kind of bigotry, huh?
