So, this is a smallish wank but too big for [info]clairoyantwank.

Over in the [info]news post about Russian Livejournal being improved, [info]fidelity_astro posts Man, what ever happened to AMERICA?.

Which of course is a perfectly innocent question.

[info]telnikoff replies "Which one? There are two of them." and the wank only gets better.

[info]fidelity_astro: Yes, because the people of Central America don't exist to you because they don't occupy a large, distinct landmass that you can easily view from your self-centered, colonialist island nation.

Then there is the wank over North America, South America, and Central America here

Totally unrelated to the wank at hand, but I have to ask, what is your icon in reference to? Not the Pluto thing, but the pattern. I've seen that pattern (Here's a _, there's a _, fuzzy _, funny _) in a bunch of different icons and I'm dying to know where it got started.
