Honestly, I saw what she was getting at with that comparison, and I don't think it's completely dumb. Some people have the intrinsic biological urge to be parents; some people have the intrinsic biological urge to have sex and/or relationships with members of the same sex. Telling either group of people that they shouldn't act on their urges because [INSERT EXTERNALLY IMPOSED REASON HERE] (unless it's an actual good reason, like the parent-to-be is HOMICIDAL CRAZYCAKES or something) would be offensive and utter bullshit.

But yeah, it's a strange leap to get to that analogy, and doesn't really help her argument.
