Fuck that a majority of the scholarships and grants that I'm looking up are for minorities, gays, and everything else that I can't qualify for because I'm just a white girl with nothing but a financial situation and a decent GPA.

f i adopted a child who was black, or hispanic, or whatever, I would NOT encourage them to apply for a race-based scholarship.

I honestly think a lot of children are not succeeding or feeling the need to succeed because activists are telling them they wont because the big bad white man will oppress them. So they feel there is no use in trying. We really need to be giving these kids a better view of the world.
