Fuku Wank

The forums for the website, F*cking Otaku (aka Fuku), recently had a huge drama erupt that was several months (or years if you want to be technical) in the making. The ball gets rolling when the most prolific poster on the Fuku forum, KinFreon, suddenly confesses to f*cking otaku (for short, fno) behavior that Fuku itself is supposed to stand against.

The confession itself was most likely motivated in an attempt at an olive branch. But it backfired. BADLY.

In the actions that he delineates in his confession, KinFreon admits to behavior bad enough to the extent that he was BANNED from at least two cons and unwelcome at a few others. He then admits to one case of sexual molestation and to make matters worse, he admits to being an ex-lolicon fanatic. This is merely a brief summary of a several paragraphs long confession so I suggest you read it here: http://forums.catsonmars.com/index.php?showtopic=2988. At the end of this litany of mind-boggling behavior, he adds a moral to the story:

Keep cool. Respect the womenfolk. Respect authority. Leave underage girls alone. Go easy on the alkie and caffie. Don't whore for attention unless you have everyone's respect or something to offer. Don't mess with the cool kids. Keep it real; don't be someone you're not. Be positive. Learn manners. Respect everyone; kiss ass if you have to. Don't do weird things that creep people out...like associating with underage girls. Otherwise, you're a pretty fucking bad douchebag otaku. Which is what I'm trying not to be, through the rehabilitative auspices of FuKu.

But instead of having his confession received with forgiveness and open arms, which was the initial reaction, it very soon degenerates into drama when one poster questions KinFreon's motive and he volleys back vigorously in his own defense. The exchange soon draw more people in, who bring up KinFreon's past behavior, namely those directed at other Fuku posters themselves of which there is no public proof as they seem to have mostly been private exchanges. Pretty soon, it's civil war on the Fuku boards and it's every man (or woman) for themselves. Sadly, the attempts of the Fuku mods to regulate the growing madness does nothing. To Fuku's credit, most of the drama is legible and articulate. The war continues until the thread is 200+ posts long. Then, it finally degenerates into spams and image floods and is then locked.

What makes this a full blown wank is these subsequent threads. First up, a post (now comm-locked) by a Fuku poster, tramsosmai, in the Fuku LJ community, fuckingotaku. It is a really LOOOOONG post but it details tramsosmai 's observations of KinFreon's actions post-confession that suggests he has not actually turned over a new leaf and their subsequent conflict.

Basically, KinFreon gets himself banned from a non-Fuku boad, Nan Desu Ka, for being obnoxious, specifically in the "How to Talk to Girls" thread:

"I just don't like whitebread suburbanite yuppies telling me how to live my life, see. Y'all are better off takin' a wrong turn and gettin' rolled, IMO. But hey, we all love anime, so let's pass the forty and have good times."

"So, just because I don't drink the Kool-Aid everyone's drinking, and thus don't universally agree with everyone's opinions, I'm a troll?

Classical logical fallacy. You lose, Buffy."

"I'm not asking questions as much as I'm calling BS on your elitist ideals.

But since I have all the audacity to disagree with the hive mentality, I am in the wrong and deserve to be bukkaked with all of your hot steaming contempt. After all, I'm not rich or white enough. Hegemony is fun, isn't it, kids?"

After this banning, tramsosmai reports that KinFreon posts to his LJ (deleted then undeleted) in reaction to the NDK banning, which she screencaps. The gist:

"I am too bad-ass and gangsta for whitebread, yuppie, sellout, elitist-ass anime fandom. Just too motherfuckin' hardcore. B)

Meanwhile, I know for a fact that chicks dig swagger and just the right amounts of stability (job, car, etc)."

"I'm fuckin' tired of these whitebread yuppie-fuck anime fans telling me how to live my life. And I'm tired of giving a fuck about hate or bannage anymore. I'm fucking hardened. I got love for those who hate. I got respect for those who can tell the difference. I'm too hardcore for their shit, and I am no longer giving a fuck at all."

To this post, tramsosmai comments. In fairness, she screencaps their exchange, which shortly turns vicious.

"That you can be enough of a chauvinistic ass to get yourself banned from practically anything? What's to be surprised about?" ~tramsosmai

"Also, you're not 'gangsta'. You're a fat guy in his late twenties living on the government dole with his buddy in the shithole known as Montana. You don't have fancy cars, you don't have 'bling', you don't have hos, and YOU PROBABLY NEVER WILL." ~tramsosmai

"I see you talkin' some mad shit, [tramsosmai's name]. I'm gonna be nice enough because you're my homey's girlfriend. But if you were anyone else, you'd get beat. See?" ~KinFreon

"You don't have to be white to be 'whitebread'. Whitebread basically entails someone who has sold their soul to corporations & suburbia, and who will do anything beyond their principles for money and popularity. Besides, as I said earlier, ethnic minorities are turned white once they become successful and suburban. It's a little thing called 'Cultural Hegemony'. You should look it up with that expensive schooling of yours." ~KinFreon

KinFreon then proceeds to defriend tramsosmai with parting insults like "little whiney bitch" and this gem:

"I see why women want stability. They're not as strong as they say. They need a wailing wall. That's not equality to me. You don't see [name of KinFreon's 16 year old long distance internet girlfriend] shaking my tree when she feels bad. And you don't see vice versa."

He also sends her a threatening PM (subject: Death Warrant) through Fuku, which tramsosmai screencaps in the same post:

"Since you have bitched me out for the last time, since you have decided to not only forget what your place is, but thumb your nose at it entirely... it is my duty to ruin what you and Sethi [a Fuku poster, KinFreon's roommate and tramsosmai's bf] have. Your relationship with him is finished, and I will see to that.

Do not call here again.

Do not message Sethi.

If you do, I will make your life miserable.

Do you understand your sentence?"

Of course, the comments offer up wank but around half of the comments are deleted (presumably they were KinFreon's comments, which have been deleted with his journal). For this [the threat to tramsosmai], KinFreon is banned from the Fuku boards but not before he makes a farewell post that creates its own drama (http://forums.catsonmars.com/index.php?showtopic=3166)

Mainly, the drama is the controversy over the sudden banning (as the PM is not yet public knowledge) and the emergence of mysterious legal documents of the consequences of KinFreon's behavior at cons mentioned in the first thread. The legal documents (presumably 120 page long restraining orders that were later ToSed by LJ) were posted on the fuckingotaku comm by afreak, who also joined the Fuku boards, specifically to post in KinFreon's last thread. This generates more drama as a Fuku poster, barachem, who is well known for finding troll-baiting amusing proceeds to duke it out with afreak. Subsequently, the thread degenerates into spamming, which also gets barachem banned by the Fuku mods.

On an amusing side note, KinFreon is also compared to GrantM (another, albeit unwanted, Fuku poster and whipping boy responsible for the longest Fuku thread EVER), he of wannabe voice actor fame, and was found wanting as despite his whining, GrantM never made death threats or behaved so badly that he needed to be banned.

It all currently ends with a post in the fuckingotaku comm by barachem (http://community.livejournal.com/fuckingotaku/6616.html).

"I'm banned until 19th of november of 2006, because i disobeyed modular orders by spamming up a thread, boohoo, cry cry."

As of now, KinFreon's whereabouts are unknown. afreak's future actions are a mystery too as s/he seems to have joined in specifically due to a personal grudge against KinFreon. barachem looks like he might return after his parole and the Fuku community seems to have calmed down.

So, to avoid further wank, please do NOT troll! Thank you!

P.S. I realize this is tl;dr and I am not the wittiest of people so this report is probably a bit dry. Please forgive me. I am still just "WTF?" over the amount of posts and controversy it generated though.
