DISCO SUCKS! (And so do gay people.)
Tomata is mad as hell and he's not going to take it anymore.

In a post to Queer_Rage, Tomata explains why he hates the gay community:

i love how whenever someone who is gay speaks up against the retardation that is the gay "community" they're automatically marred as some self-loathing, ugly, sexless queer. i'm fine with my sexuality, me and gay are like crossed fingers. the gay community, however, is not something i partake in because it is the biggest load of superficial bullshit ever.

i mean, the fact that the "gay rights" movement ran alongside DISCO says a lot about how serious the movement was, after they were busy stonewalling they probably went to studio 54 to fill up their noses and empty their cocks. gay pride parades are nothing more than some perfect bodied homos on floats throwing glitter with their tops off and watching muscle men get sucked off in the audience. gay "erotic art" is nothing more than men with big dicks taking black and white photos of their six pack abs and cartoons of penises that look bigger than the bodies they're attached to. gay "dating sites" are just a coverup for male prostitution (also see: the more socially acceptable "escorts"), anonymous hook-ups and statutory rape.

And on and on and on.

Accusations of violating the sacred Safe Space begin in the first comment. The mods haven't come in yet, but I'm sure that will be happening soon.

*giggle* Sorry, I find that line incredibly amusing for some reason. It's late...

So basically

"wah wah, there's a subset of gay people who do lots of stuff that a subset of heterosexual people do. Wah Wah, how dare they do things I don't like to do."

Only with more sweeping generalisations.

It's the Bill Cosby of the gay community. Lots and lots of bitching about what he thinks is wrong while not only failing to mention what's right, but also offering no solutions. Long winded and non-constructive. Good times.

The last gay pride parade I was at included a Gay Geeks Group with a woman holding a sign reading "Willow and Tara Forever", a drag king in a wheelchair with a sign that said "My Other Legs Are a Cadillac" and a pair of newly-wedded Mounties in full dress uniform.

Man, there's a lot of really convincing photomanips out there labeled as "gay pride parades", 'cause that's certainly not what I've seen.

Also, "every homosexual has to go through tough times"

That's a good attitude he's showing right there, isn't it? "I had a bad time, so everybody should have one too" is definitely the way to go. Why should somebody get out of that, anyway?

Of course, I don't get a vote. I'm bisexual and funnily enough I only had to go tough a thought time to accept my heterosexual side. Of course, he strikes me like the kind of person who would probably contribute gladly to what I went through, 'cause I was a turncoat only looking for an easy way out, riiight!

Towel, please?

hmm, maybe living in san francisco where there's such a huge gay population colors my opinion, but I totally see what he's saying. i know there are plenty of subsets of 'gay culture' going on, but i also know plenty of guys who don't want to hang out in the city because everything is so superficial and sex-oriented.

Well... his overgeneralizations aside, I have heard the same sorta bitching from a gay friend of mine. But it was while he was in the dating scene trying to find a new love while all he could see were people looking for casual hookups and stuff. But now, I don't hear that bitching since he has a serious bf.

i have no problem with those who are themselves. i'm just sick of the media telling me that i'm not "gay enough" or "perfect" enough or up to some queer standard that was set by some "majority". what they do to women in terms of body image they do to gay men, and it pisses me off.

... so it's okay to pressure women with body image and not men?

My first reaction to this quote was "Ha-ha-HA! Suck it up, bitch!"

And if he thinks that men (straight or otherwise) don't feel a pressure to conform to media's standards of beauty, then he mustn't go out of doors much.

The gay men's community is fixated on sex, yes, but that's not becuase they're gay. That's because most of them are young (20's-early 30's), horny, and stupid.

Straight guys have a similar institution. It's called a fraternity. :P And hopefully, just HOPEFULLY, these guys will grow out of it.

Jeez, kiddo, get a sex change already. From what I've read in your journal, you really seem to hate a.) men and b.) your own penis.
