Customers_suck sexual harrassment wank. And not like you think.
[info]anivyl makes a post containing a story a couple of athletes pulling the g-strings of a group of scantily-dressed girls.

immediately, the girl called the police and said that our manager did nothing, that she was being sexually harassed in a well known restaurant, and a whole lot of feminism issue.

the police came over and charged my manager with indifference to sexual harassment, inability to prevent people from being overtly intoxicated and more...

now, i am not trying to take sides. the boys were utter twats, and if i were my manager, i would have thrown them out as well. the thing was, the girls also continued sitting there, with their asses hanging towards the boys. it's like "you can see, but u can't touch hah!" kinda taunting to me as well.

and honestly, some people need to stop having beer money, just because they can't handle it.

anyways, it seems we might get charged too, the restaurant as a whole, so i will see what comes up next. :(

Sadly enough, a few people agree, such as [info]goth_is_not_emo:

The third: When someone says he wants to apologize, most people don't tend to see that as a prank. The bartender probably assumed, as would I, that this guy was just there to apologize, until he pulled his shit. But still, if you dress like a slut, and people point it out, yes, they're jerks, but it's still partially your fault for leaving your "fault" in plain view. Wear clothes next time, ladies. I guarantee none of that will happen again. And as I have said before, A CUSTOMER'S BEHAVIOR IS NEVER THE MANAGEMENT'S FAULT.

And [info]bicolar:

One would assume that if you're going to wear a G-string that is ABOVE your underwear that you are going to get some negative attention. You can't call
"sexual harassment" if you're asking for it. I am as against sexual preditors as the next person... but if you dress like a whore you're going ot be treated as one. I tend to pity someone who is dressed modestly then someone who is dressed with their panties showing.

If you dont want them pulled don't show them to drunk morons. People who are drunk become as children. They revert to palyground rules... which clearly state that if your underwear is showint in any way it will get pulled or snapped.

In a community featuring several strippers and topless dancers, as well as at least one escort, you'd think people would know about how not to treat women with less than the usual amount of clothing, for business or for pleasure. There's also a touch of wank over here that might grow larger.

I did make one teeny comment, but it was about car molesting and not wank-relevant so I'm hoping it won't merit i_wank relocation.

ETA: The OP is now engaging in ass-coverage throughout the comments, and the rape card is thrown around a good deal.

ETA 2: The Coming of the Wanker: A second post is made by the OP.

Tell me more about the highly probable and credible existence of a legal charge of "indifference to sexual harassment."

Remember, kids: Clothes DO, in fact, make the man. Or whore, as the case may be.

Related morals: Always judge a book by it's cover. And someone who might be sexually promiscuous is not deserving of respect or personal boundries like any other human being.

Are we just gonna cover the female body on OTF today?

C'mon, guys! Bring on the vagina wank! WE MUST BE COMPLETE.

Also...

if you're going to wear a G-string that is ABOVE your underwear

... I thought a G-string was your underwear. Have I been wearing them wrong? *L*

So I walked into a bar last week, and there was this guy there who was obviously looking for a fight. You could tell by the way he was dressed, and the way he was glaring around the room at everyone. So I picked up a chair and broke it against the back of his head.

He should have known that if he acts that way he should expect people to react like I did, so it's totally not my fault.

Ugh ugh UGGGGGGH.

Ok, logic time. When I dress up in revealing clothes, I am in fact broadcasting the fact that I might possibly enjoy a spot of sex tonight. HOWEVER. My "interested in sex" billboard does not have "...with anyone" written on it.

Say I were a business owner looking to hire someone and I put ads in the paper. I am not just going to hire, FOR EXAMPLE, the first drunken moron who stumbles into my office- I have certain criteria that need to be met. And if the guy started making himself at home at an empty desk, I would call the police and report that he was trespassing, because WTF, WHO DOES THAT STUPID SHIT?

God, what an idiot that guy is. All the creepiness of the "But she was dressed like a slut, so she deserved it!" defense aside, dressing modestly doesn't prevent sexual harassment, especially not when there are drunk men involved. They'll just as readily harass attractive young women in (non-low-rise) jeans and T-shirts as they will those in skimpy clothes and G-strings (though obviously they can't do it in exactly the same way). There's no way to avoid that kind of thing short of avoiding men altogether, which... would be a bit difficult.

... Right, now where was that towel?

you can see, but u can't touch hah!

Uhhh...isn't this the law of everything in our world?

I mean, all those shops with their goods in the window - they're just begging to be stolen! And all those people who purchase fancy cars - well, they're just asking for someone else to covet and take them!

If someone can't get into their brain that 'you can look, but you can't have', then they've got a serious problem. And if they can't control that problem, then they're not really the kind of people you'd want around.

"I'm in ur restaurant, snapping ur g-strings!"

As tacky as intentionally visible thong is, it was trendy a few years ago. Poor girls can't help it if they're behind the times. If they'd been wearing equally unflattering leggings and shirtdresses they would not have had this problem and also wouldn't have looked like throwbacks to 2003. Ew.

Don't tell ME dressing modestly prevents losers from accosting you. I get TONS of street harassment while wearing regular clothes, or even Victorian-style outfits that go from neck to ankle, because I'm tiny and blonde and look like a helpless target.

No snark for this one. Just some hate.

Why the hell is the word "feminism" used in that context? Calling the police when you're harassed sexually = a raging let-me-crush-all-men-and-this-restaurant-under-my-bitch-boots feminist? And here I was thinking it meant that she had the right to call for help when she felt like she needed it.
