OJ Simpson & Amazon
You know, I think we were right: Amazon allowing discussion threads about books really is the beginning of the end of the world.... or the wankiest thing since Anne Rice. You decide.

I think everyone's heard by now that OJ will be on Fox with his "How I Did It" - how he would have killed nichol Simpson and her friend, had he actually done it. As [info]cleolinda put it, if media executives think you're low, then you've really hit rock bottom.

Of course there's a book. And you can pre-order it right now from Amazon!

You and W Young, who thinks everyone who doesn't want to buy the book and may boycott Amazon for selling it are "idiots".

I am buying this book because i want too. Guess What? I dont give a flying ____ how u feel about it. It's my god given right and OJ has been found not guilty so get over it already. I personally feel when u have been found innocent u are innocent ok.Matt

He takes umbridge when people disagree, and starts telling everyone to be good Christians and that no one cared when the Rodney King trial went "not guilty" until after the riots started.

He who is w/o sin throw the first stone. No one then pipe down! If u are going to get religious we are all going to receive final judgment for all sins not just his sins. How many minorities were found guilty of crimes by all white juries for sins they did not do? Who will receive judgment for that type of sin of prejudice huh? How many white people in the past hung black people simply for the color of their skin and got away with it? Who will receive judgment for that? Lets not play God and say who is going to receive judgments , punishments etc before God.

Thank You K. Sousa's. I am tired of people thinking they can decide after the fact that someone is guilty. Where was all the yelling when all the white Lapd's officers got away with their crimes in the Rodney King case? O that did not happen untill the riots! Oh wait they did not do anything wrong they were ruled innocent by a Jury of their white fans not peers ha ha .

But, according to Amazon stats:
0 of 6 people think this post adds to the discussion. Do you?

ETA: There's lots more in the discussions if you want to go looking. Fish and barrels come to mind. Lots of spelling & grammar comments. I'm just in too much pain from the head hitting the desk to do anything with it.

And I... I thought that the last two wanks centering around police tazering some poor guy for not having school ID and frat boys molesting girls in restaurants was bad enough. Now I find out that someone who may or may not have killed his ex-wife and her lover is going on NETWORK TELEVISION and writing a book about how he would (did?) have done it if he did it?!

Oh yeah... this is definitely the week in which my faith in humanity finally dies.

There's actually a really INTERESTING comment by the publisher in the L.A. Times saying the following about the story: "It's not fiction." That is a quote. Could be taken out of context, but WOW, that does not look good at all, to put it mildly.

I personally feel when u have been found innocent u are innocent ok.

Can one really be blamed for thinking it makes him look guilty when he's giving a hypothetical play-by-play?

Also, writting books about how you would have killed someone is probably in really bad taste no matter who you are.

Not to mention, think of his and Nicole Simpson's poor kids. Knowing that your father probably murdered your mother is bad enough-- but hearing him describe how he might (or did) murder her must be more terrible than I can imagine. Shit, I don't even want to know how high their therapy bills will run after this.

His logic isn't even internally consistent, for god's sake. First he says that if OJ was found not guilty, that means he was really innocent. Then he complains about people not being up in arms when the LAPD officers in the Rodney King case were found not guilty, because they clearly were misjudged. Is it just me, or does that not make sense when you put the two things right next to each other?

I don't remember the case well enough to have an opinion on his guilt or innocence. I remember thinking he was innocent at the time, but don't remember why. Basically, I'm not going to comment on that. Hell, even if I remembered, I could never really know without being there.

Still, guilty or innocent, what the fudge? O.J., you're out of you mind! Seriously, is he doing drugs or something? Even if he's desperate for cash, no! Me thinks the man is a few tacos short of a fiesta platter.

...why was I eating lunch when I read this, I just threw up a little.

I personally believed O.J. did it, I never bought that so much of the police department/forensics/etc was doctoring evidence to get him. He always came off as a bit of a smug bastard about the whole thing, like he knew he did it but he was going to get away with it, neener neener.

But this...that seriously makes me ill. Why the hell after all this time is he doing this? It really doesn't make me think he's less guilty and just makes me hate him even more.

The Naked Gun movies are ruined for me. Fuck you, Nordberg!

Would it be impolite of me to point out at this juncture that O. J. was not found innocent? We have no such finding in our court system. What we have is not guilty. There is a big, big difference. And in civil court, he was found liable, which certainly strikes down that "innocent" claim. If anything, the court system has said that he is not innocent in all this and was, to some extent, culpable.

I want to slap everybody who brings up Rodney King in connection with O.J. Simpson. One guy dicked over by the legal system does not award some other guy a get out of jail free ticket, and I don't care if they did both happen to be black.
