Pierogies are serious business.
No, really. They are.

(Why is kwanboa sounding familiar?)

Maybe because they were highlighted recently in the post here:

http://www.journalfen.net/community/otf_wank/498791.html

(which was completely unrelated to pierogies.)

[info]kwanboa pops up a LOT in wanks - often in the peripheries.

Wow, that argument between [info]withtraffic and [info]termofart here is really tl;dr.

Although, I've never seen people fight over whether you can patent a perogi. I feel oddly fulfilled.

Word! All that bickering has made me terribly hungry, and I love perogies. (Pierogies? I think I've been spelling it wrong for quite a long time, since that seems to be the most commom spelling over there.

Perogies wank is way funnier than crockpot wank. And except for the velveeta comment, tastier sounding too!

Ohshi I want some ;0; GOOD ONES. I tried to make some strawberry ones and failed (mm fruit pierogi) and the ones you buy at the supermarket are all American-ized and not as good as freshly made ones. :(

[info]withtraffic and [info]termofart should just get it on already. They obviously are gagging for it. The sexual tension is just killing me!

(Mmmmm, now I want some pierogies with sour cream and onions. Food wank makes me so hungry.)

I love the naive assumption that kwanboa isn't a shrill overreacting douche almost everyday. It's funny.

That said, I could go from some sauerkraut dogs right now. Mmm...!

Oh, God. Not this conversation. My old hall in college used to do lunches every week, & the only major disagreement that ever happened was Slavic week. The Polish guy was insisting they had to everything the Polish way & the German/Russian, the Ukranian & the two Slovaks ended up joining together to do anything but Polish food.

Eventually they just blew the whole months budget doing two separate lunches.

Oh, man. For a minute there, I was worried; earlier this week I was bitching to my mother about how bad the pre-packaged pierogies are in my area, and a grocery worker gave me some weird looks.

Of course it has nothing to do with me, but oddly, the OP is a RL friend of mine.

God, reading this has made me hungry. But not for sauerkraut! My Polish-American family makes 'em with potatoes, and damn are they good. Whatever, person from central Poland. :p

...Actually, this doesn't sound too wanky to me -- but my father and our neighbor are both Polish, and while I was growing up they had an annual bonding ritual which consisted of the two of them making hundreds of pierogis at a go (and drinking copious shots of krupnik as well). People can get very militant about what is and is not appropriate for a pierogi filling.

And people can also get really hardcore about what is appropriate at Thanksgiving as well. It's one of humanity's quirks.

Me, I just get picky about cranberry sauce. I have access to fresh berries, so I refuse to have the stuff that comes out of a can. (folds arms)
