Webhost Wank
Two wanks in a day, I swear they find me!

Once upon a time, a lady who now writes at InsideDelerium was hosted by a guy named Derek over at SuperUser.Net.

In August 2001:

She asks to have her account cancelled.

He replies:

Thank you you f*cking b*tch for FINALLY answering me. i'm going to delete you now. mwahaha.

She would have sent him a reply, but his mail was broken.

Two Years pass:

He finds the site, InsideDelerium, and throws a hissy fit.

She replied with a one paragraph winner.

Shortly after, this pretty piece popped up, of Derek's making.

Now, we sit back and wait for Amanda to wank, even though she doesn't seem prone to splurting, she is rather fond of replying to him.

Consider yourselves on wank watch. Again.

Edit:

More wankage! See the comments on this page. Derek is starting to sound more and more like an adolescent boy by the minute.

First, it's Derek vs. LadyXXX, which is actually quite amusing.
Then, Derek vs. Carlie. Now it gets tedious.
Vixen appears, and the previous go for another roudn with the troll child.

Things get hairy and scary when insults like gay, lesbian, and homophobe are used. Lock up your children, oh my!

Go one, go watch the shit fly. You know you want to.

He really has psychological problems, doesn't he? ~is awed by the stalkerish level of obsession and wierdness~ Not the least of which is that he seems to think that calling someone a lesbian is the ultimate insult, and all that "get a boyfriend" oddity.

Yeah, me too. He's quite like an exboyfriend I once had, stupid and billigerent, especially since he was hosting webpages on his account and breaking contract agreement even as he whinged on about his hostees doing the same to him. (my ex)

So many teenage boys running webhosting are total asshats.

Yea, they're in business. And yea, they still suck. And yea, my client's site's been down all day. And no, they don't answer their email. And no, they don't answer their phones (800-223-9092). And no, they don't list you as the registrant for your domain name. And no they wont change that. And no, you can't transfer your domain name now. I'm about to book a flight to Centreville, VA and see if I can find me a towel-head web host named Derek and introduce him to a little southern philosophy. Then maybe I might get a response from tech support. While he's on life support.

Superuser.net - vindictive when clients want to leave

Wow. I'm definately not the only one having trouble with superuser.net. I just had a fierce battle over superuser.net releasing a domain name. Derek demanded I stop emailing him about the subject. When I wrote him back, he called the police. Today I got a call from the local police department. Funny though, I bet Derek thinks he got the last laugh. But in reality, it was I who laughed last. It cost me a whole five minutes of my time and the police department sounded pretty much annoyed at having to deal with the matter. Nice try Derek. And to whoever posted his name and address elsewhere - thanks. I'm sure those who may need to pursue criminal or civil action against superuser.net will enjoy having that information. And to whoever sent Derek threating emails, you should know I got blamed for them. Thanks alot. But I don't blame you for being so angry.

I just checked some of the other blog entries. The exact words he quoted to the police as having been in an email I sent were from one of the blog entries. I'm wondering if I should point that out to the police since he obviously gave a false statement to a police officer.

Derek himself pointed out this thread to me :-) He seems to think this is my blog too. Just so you know, he wasn't resposible for id.com or cv.net going down. I just goofed on something with my virtual server. I haven't been hosted throught superuser for years. I do think he's going to take me to court (which is more or less what he said in the letter where he said this was my blog) but I'm almost to the point where I want to say, oh well.

Hah. I posted this because I like wank. (Wank = bitching and refers to fucking one self, most apt in situations dubbed 'wankish' or 'wanky'.)

I happened upon this particular wank by accident, and even though it was old, the sheer wanktrociaty of Derek struck me as brilliantly trollish, so I posted it here.

I'm sorry that he blamed you for this post, but jesus christ has he got a stick up his ass. If he wants to fuss at me for this thread he certianly may - after all it's all out in the open and legal to point out the wankiness, and I'm not involved, just a voyuer.

Let him take it to court - I bet the judge will laugh at him and dismiss the case as ridiculous.

Vix - if you wouldn't mind, would you keep those of us who are easily amused by shiny, shiny wank, entertained with updates? My email: anubeta@lycos.com. :) It'll be fun and he can't do anything about it.
