Over in [info]mock_the_stupid, there's a post about someone who can't seem to tell the difference between a webcam and a cell phone that can take videos. Someone doesn't get the stupid, and [info]vamour and [info]opalcat start fapping away:

[info]opalcat: Um. You don't have to be a "hard core tech geek" to see the difference in convenience between a camera phone (a camera that you would have with you at nearly all times) and a webcam (a camera attached to a computer by a short cable).

[info]vamour: Actually, they both give roughly the same quality compression ratios on the footage that they capture, so really the only difference is if they're portable or not. There's really nothing here that qualifies as 'stupid'.

It seems to be over, as [info]opalcat has threatened to bring out the banhammer, but it was amusing while it lasted.

EDIT: Bahleeted! Sadly, I didn't think to take screencaps. Did anyone else? But here's the post on [info]stupid_free, where someone had it saved.

...I feel the need to point out that I barely made it past the OP's icon. Hot hot bipedal lion anthro guy with nipples in a shower stall? Seriously, wtf? Even allowing for a furry fetish, that doesn't make any sense. *brain break*

According to something I saw today over at little_details on LJ, almost all male mammals have nipples. Or am I just totally not understanding your comment, which is very possible?

Maybe I'm just defensive because I once wrote Kimahri from FFX taking a bath.

....Huh. Well, there's every chance you're completely correct. I suppose it makes sense that other male mammals would have nipples like men and apes do, but I can honestly say that it had never really occured to me. Where would these nipples be located on, for example, a lion? (None of this makes the OP's icon any less bizarre in my eyes, I do contend.)

I guess they would be located on the same place as a female, so yeah, the icon is very... anthropomorphized. I guess I'm just distracted by the sexy of it. Not that I'm turning into a furry or anything, honest mom!

But I remember seeing a male pig on a farm (which was set up to be an kid-friendly animal learning place), and he had two rows of nipples, and I pointed it out to the owner. The owner said "Well, yeah, like people."

Now, granted, they don't stop at two, but I believe I can count that as a valid anthropomorphisization or however long you're supposed to make that word I need to go to bed.

The last time I went to America, they insisted on showing the SAME DAMN MOVIE for every leg of the trip. It was a deeply substandard movie about beauty pagent queens, and by the time of the first leg of the trip home, I had watched it so many times that it was on the screens in the aisles, and I was adding the correct dialouge without even listening in on the headphones.

This did not improve the movie.

(The fact that the very final leg of the flight deigned to show me Bedazzled and I thought it was actually really quite a decent movie should show how badly it warped my brain. Sobz.)

Oh, I never read the mod posts. They're just endless variations of "If you don't have the exact same rather lame sense of humour as opalcat, then you're a fucking loser."
