Just a quick summary, because I really can't do this justice.

OP: We're planning on invoking [bunch of deities from various pantheons] for Imbolc, a Celtic-named holiday. Any suggestions on how to do so since I don't know much about any of them?

I don't know why the community seems so perplexed about [info]snowmoon3's ideas.

I can't imagine what could possibly go wrong with the invocation, provided that she carries the Flail of Mercy, the Reaping Hook of Justice, the Honeycomb of Increase, the Asp of Wisdom, the Sheaf of Plenty, the Gourd of the Heaven's Water, the Three-Pronged Spear of the Earth Waters, the Cabbage of the Vegetative Increase, the Scapula of Hygiene and wears the Face of the Sun.

Other than that, I just have to shake my head at this woman. I mean, shit like there will be a blurb to make it obvious that it isn't a Celtic ritual. At the moment, we're calling it "Imbolc: Christine & Jessica style"? I'm not a pagan but I have a notion that that's like saying "We're doing Christmas, but in June, and we're going to light candles and sing 'We are the World' and there are no presents and there's definitely no Santa and I was going to make tortellini instead of the usual large dead animal." I mean, what?

And see? This is why I would never be a good pagan. If some god/dess came calling and yammering on about going out and invoking them in the middle of freaking winter, I expect instructions. Something along the lines of those allergy lists you get for childrens parties would be fine.

...also is anyone else sniggering to themselves and imagining that these gods are screwing with Snowmoon for being, well, Snowmoon? I just see them all gathered around the God-Mac (deities so use Apple Macs) giggling and nudging each other while Khnumn labouriously types in their demands.
