Wow, what a huge dose of disgusting. She caused a child to be physically hurt because he's fat (he was behaving inappropriately but she's admitting that was not her real problem here) and people think it was all awesome and cool because he was fat.

My reaction to stuff like this is always "If people hate fat people that much I guess I need to diet after all." (Yeah, that's emo and it's not about me, but that's my serious reaction.)

That woman loses soooo badly. Fuck. I'm a mom and I'm HORRIFIED that this woman is allowed to have contact with children. Encouraging her kid to hurt another kid because he's playing in a selfish manner -- dudette, that's what 8 year olds do, they play selfishly. They are learning how to play nice, but that little ability where you can anticipate how your actions affect other people doesn't really kick in until you are 11 or 12.

If I were there, I'd have gone up to the obese child and explained the rules and explained how his behavior was affecting others. I've done this before. Works 95 percent of the time, and the last 5 percent you can appeal directly to the mom.

This woman fails as a mom, an au pair, and as an adult.
