One the one hand, it makes me sort of ill to think about doing that to someone for "convenience". On the other, I've got to hand it to the parents for sticking it out this long. My son is 5 months and if he was stuck at this stage, but growing steadily bigger, year after year after year ... oh man. I long for the days when I could eat, pee, bathe, do laundry, clean the house, leave the house or read a fucking book without some huge production involved. If I had to deal with this FOREVER, I'm pretty sure I'd kill myself.

In conclusion, no-win situation here.
