Ah, circumsision wank... Whether or not to get my son snipped was the first full out roarfest I had with my then mother in law. Granted I'd read up on the procedure as much as humanly possible, and even seen one done and after discussion with my then hubby, we decided that we weren't going to have the baby cut. His mother went into a tizzy (she's not Jewish) insisting that we HAD to circumsize the baby. She gave me all the 'it's healthier' arguments and how she deeply regretted that she hadn't had my then hubby circumsized as a baby since she didn't know about the procedure. While up until then, I'd been pretty easy going with her, my temper won out on this and I informed her that it wasn't that much extra effort to just teach the baby when he was older how to properly wash. We went a few rounds over it and when I didn't budge, she appeared to let it drop. Then while both me and the baby were still in the hospital, one of the nurses comes in the room ready to take him for the procedure and for me to sign the paperwork for it. Damn if my mother in law told them I wanted it done. High Holy Hell was raised yet again, and mother in law insisted that she knew what was best and I probably wasn't thinking clearly because of the meds I was given for my c-section. Hubby took the not getting involved route and kept quiet while I cut loose with full snark about the amount of meds she kept scamming doctors on so it was look who's talking with not thinking clearly with drug haze. End result was my son wasn't circumsized and mother in law tread very carefully around me for quite a few months. Over the years I've been with guys both clipped and not, and really haven't noticed a difference. If a guy's not going to wash his equipment right, it's not going to matter whether he's snipped or not. I've seen gamey on both. Naturally I kicked up a fuss and Post a comment in response: |
