Hi-ho!
Smallish update on the wank that keeps on neighing -- er, giving:

Ohnoes! LJ Abuse has demanded we delete [info]callmesilver's post about our intolerance!

Comm members hurry to make screencaps, debate copyright, and generally dogpile on [info]callmesilver. Good times.

Ahhh, ok. Kinda forgot they were hit with the banhammer.

Still wondering what LJ Abuse is smoking, though. Dude, if she didn't want people to know her thoughts on yaoibestiality, why tell it to a bunch of strangers on LJ? *boggles*

LOL Internet, I guess.

It's actually been LJ policy for a long time that people should have the ability to delete their own posts (even if they're in a community they've been removed from). It's just not common knowledge.

It's come up before on a couple of comms I've been on, and the mods handled it the same way [info]00goddess seems to be doing here- notify the community and give members an opportunity to make copies of any threads that they found useful/interesting/fricking hilarious/etc.

Then why not change the LJ code so that you can delete a post after being banned from a comm? The LJ code behaving that way sort of implies that preventing a banned member from deleting his/her posts is acceptable.
