	It's actually been LJ policy for a long time that people should have the ability to delete their own posts (even if they're in a community they've been removed from). It's just not common knowledge. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's come up before on a couple of comms I've been on, and the mods handled it the same way 00goddess seems to be doing here- notify the community and give members an opportunity to make copies of any threads that they found useful/interesting/fricking hilarious/etc. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Then why not change the LJ code so that you can delete a post after being banned from a comm? The LJ code behaving that way sort of implies that preventing a banned member from deleting his/her posts is acceptable. (Reply to this)(Parent)
