Hi-ho!
Smallish update on the wank that keeps on neighing -- er, giving:

Ohnoes! LJ Abuse has demanded we delete [info]callmesilver's post about our intolerance!

Comm members hurry to make screencaps, debate copyright, and generally dogpile on [info]callmesilver. Good times.

That... makes the same kind of sense that telling jurors to ignore a particular comment in court does- i.e., nice in theory, and yeah, it isn't on the physical record anymore, but kind of ridiculous in practice and impossible to implement fully. To co-opt a Futurama quote (again): YOU HAVE SAID IT. YOU CANNOT UNSAY IT.

And what difference would it make to save her ego anyway, considering how many people have screencaps or copypastes on servers that don't give a shit about what LJ says?

I'm not sure you have an ego to save if your partner is neglecting you to fuck a horse.

Well, she apparently thinks this'll be saving face. I'm just not understanding why she's even bothering.

It never stops being funny, y'know? In that funny-sad way.

That reminds me of a cartoon that was in my criminal law textbook in college. It had someone with a big smirk on his face sitting in the witness stand. Everyone in the courtroom had looks of shock, horror and disgust on their faces. I think one juror had fainted. And the judge was saying, "The jury will disregard the witness's last remark."

Mph. This would not be that cartoon of Richard Ramirez after just shouting "Hail Satan!"? Because I remember that one vividly.

Bah, never mind. You said witness, not defendent. *slinks away, embarrassed*

S'aright. Actually, for a cartoon about Richard Ramirez to be in my college textbook, it would have had to be put in at the last minute before going to print (damn I'm old).
