Over at [info]seattle, [info]validkittykitty wanks about gun control. This is reported to [info]stupid_free, where, unsurprisingly, the wank continues.

I was so hoping that would happen. Well, actually, I knew it would happen, but I was still looking forward to it. They were still maintaining a certain level of civility last time I checked, though, disappointingly.

I think internet Libertarian-party types are on about the same level as internet anarchists. Stereotypes come to life, and screw the reality of the position!

Ahh, I misunderstood your point. Yes, I agree about the lack of reality. For the most part the libertarians I have met online are naive in the extreme about the maturity, responsibility, and sanity of the average person.

Certain subjects seem to come in groups. If it was all on LJ I'd attribute to people going from comm to comm, but as it is it's just one of those Internet enigmas, like otakukin.

It probably has something to do with a recent study that linked gun ownership directly to number of murders. The link to which I can't find . . .
