In Soviet New York, iPod bans you!
So a state senator in New York wants to ban using iPods while crossing city streets.

USA Today blogs about it. The comments section is a cesspool of wank, mostly of the righteous indignation kind. Watch how liberals are blamed for all society's ills! Marvel at how Darwin is misused over and over again! Gasp as accusations of communism are thrown around carelessly!

The stupid, it had to be shared.

ETA: BE MORE FUNNY, PEOPLE.

You would be surprised at the number of city dwellers who have no idea where the capital is. We're like Canada to them. And if people want to complain about this bill, which probably won't even get passed, they should call their own state senator, not the one who introduced the bill. And then they should watch Schoolhouse Rock.

(sorry Luthe, I'm trying to find the funny but there are just so many levels of stupid in this.)

And then they should watch Schoolhouse Rock.

My daughter and I often sing the preamble together.

This is apropos of nothing, I just wanted to share.

Kids' television shows were so much better in the 70s and 80s.
