In Soviet New York, iPod bans you!
So a state senator in New York wants to ban using iPods while crossing city streets.

USA Today blogs about it. The comments section is a cesspool of wank, mostly of the righteous indignation kind. Watch how liberals are blamed for all society's ills! Marvel at how Darwin is misused over and over again! Gasp as accusations of communism are thrown around carelessly!

The stupid, it had to be shared.

As far as I can tell, this isn't about banning iPods. It's about making it a rule that you can't have them playing when you're crossing the street. You know, just like you can't use them while you're driving a car?<?i> I don't think the concept of public safety around motor vehicles is a new thing, actually.
