Someone wrote in [info]otf_wank,
Senile anecdote time:

My school has a strict no emailed papers policy. I wasn't entirely aware of this, until two different papers came due at a time when I was in an entirely different continent.

The conversation went along the lines of:
"Can you make an exception? This one time? For me?"
"No. Love to, but school policy."
"Can I email it to you, and then you print out a copy, and then-"
"No. Love to, but school policy."
(Pause to consider.)
"Can you do me a favor, then? I have a paper due for Professor 2. If I email it to you, can you print out a copy of that, and give it to him?"
"Sure, no problem."
"Hi, Prof 2? Can you do a favor for me?"
