In [info]washingtondc, they don't wank about politics. Instead, like every other "city" community on lj I mean you, [info]seattle, they wank about snow.

A quick recap:

"You people in DC don't know snow like I know snow! This isn't snow!"

"I have nothing clever to say, so I am going to attempt to be snarky by handing you a cookie."

"Salting the roads every time they say it's going to snow isn't exactly feasible." "Yeah, well, it would save lives!"

"What's KC?" "OMG YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE KC IS YOU MUST BE RETARDED."

Can't they just enjoy the snow day? Oh, that's right . . . enjoying the snow means you haven't grown up yet.

Methinks someone took a leak in [info]flairness's Cheerios this morning.

ETA: Aww, Bonus wank in stupid_free!

Not enough snow here ;_;

That and because I live in a city, what little we do get is trampled and salted before I even get out of the house in the morning.

Hell, this time round they had the street salted before it snowed DDDDDDD:

they closed my office! which is good, because all of the roads we use to get there are completely blocked off, or they were at 9:50 this morning. thank god for accidents on 695 and 83. (Baltimore, baby, where snow is something they try to hawk on street corners.)

My office did not close, but I still took the day off because I had a horrible drive home last night (695 and 795) and I did not want to mess with it. Today was wonderful. Tomorrow I will face the streets again. ;)

Yeah! Me too! And since I let time pass between high school and going to college, this is my first snow day in like four or five years, and there's no such thing as a "snow day" at my job, I have a deeper appreciation for it. Plus, extra sleep. I love snow!

I admit, I did a little dance when I saw that my first class was cancelled.

Yes! It has been a very good day with no classes, esp. because of my 8:30.

We didn't get enough snow/ice/everything else. Only like four inches, and it was basically over with by the morning. WOE.

*pouts* College was closed today, but because I'm a professional student (medical school), we still had to go in AND get lectured about how professionalism means coming in to school even when it's snowing.

I retaliated by cross-country skiing in, rather than driving and then being ridiculously perky about it for the rest of the day and insisting that I only came to school because it was an extra excuse to have fun in the snow, rather than this "Professionalism" thing. I am, also, four.

College was cancelled?! But college is never cancelled! Not even when everything else in the state is closed!

My college didn't cancel classes when we had eight inches of snow. And I don't have a car, so I had to walk.

I hate you all. :(

Yeah, well, my university only closes if there's 85% chance of flooding out the old buildings due to hurricanes and tropical storms, or if we're pretty much right in front of the storm. Which they've been getting fixed, and almost never happens, respectively. Stupid Jacksonville and its fortuitous geographical location!

We don't get snow days, either, because it doesn't snow. :( And we still have to go to class even when it's a perfect spring or early fall day for going to the beach.
