In [info]washingtondc, they don't wank about politics. Instead, like every other "city" community on lj I mean you, [info]seattle, they wank about snow.

A quick recap:

"You people in DC don't know snow like I know snow! This isn't snow!"

"I have nothing clever to say, so I am going to attempt to be snarky by handing you a cookie."

"Salting the roads every time they say it's going to snow isn't exactly feasible." "Yeah, well, it would save lives!"

"What's KC?" "OMG YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE KC IS YOU MUST BE RETARDED."

Can't they just enjoy the snow day? Oh, that's right . . . enjoying the snow means you haven't grown up yet.

Methinks someone took a leak in [info]flairness's Cheerios this morning.

ETA: Aww, Bonus wank in stupid_free!

I'm not precisely complaining about it, but we got snow. A whole fuck load of snow. There's a snowdrift in the back yard which is taller than I am... actually, it's taller than my boyfriend too, and he's 6'0. The dog was hilarious...

Dog: Need to *pee*.
Me: You don't want to go out there.
Dog: NEED TO PEE.
Me: I warned you... *stands at the door with her arms crossed*
Dog: There's... snow... EVERYWHERE! *pees in the remotest corner possible considering there's about two square feet of space outside the back door* LET ME IN!
Me: Told you.

(The me part was spoken out loud. Yes, I am nuts. I talk to the dog, and inanimate objects.)

Yesterday, now, yesterday people were being wimpy. The snow we got in the afternoon/overnight... made things worse.

It's only nuts if they start to answer back.

My dog looked out the window when I woke up and went, "HURRRRRRRR YAAAAAAAAY SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW GO OUTSIDE GO OUTSIDE GO OUTSIDE GO OUTSIDE!!!!!!!"

There's a huge drift just outside our living room window. She completely demolished it; the drift is now scattered all over the yard, along with multiple other smaller drifts. :)

My dog plays in the snow, rolls in it, and eats it. And I talk to her.

You really want to give a dog a mindfuck? Throw it snowballs to 'catch'. They bite it and chase the shrapnell and go NUTS.

My golden loved doing that. Of course, it helps if your dog gives a shit about catching balls. (My parents' adopted GSD mix? Does not, but if you throw pinecones around, he'll herd them into a pile.)

Sounds like our cat from way back when. He would only pee outside, and he got mighty disgruntled every time significant snow acculumated -- he just knew we were doing it just to make his life difficult!

I talk to our dog. But I'm pretty sure she understands what I'm saying. (She sure as hell understands my dad telling her that it's not snacktime).
