Amazon Wank
So it seems that before Christmas Amazon had a DVD offer on boxsets - buy one get one free. Except they made a bit of a mistake and the lowest item was actually taken off twice. This resulted in, if you had two items of the same price, free DVDs.

As will happen people took advantage of this and people discussed whether that was ethical.

Skip forward to December 28th, and Amazon finally realises their error. All customers affected are asked to either return the boxsets unopened, or their credit cards will be charged the total price.

Aaaaand wank results People ask whether it's legal. Some people ring Amazon to complain. And some people sit proclaiming that it's all perfectly fine and serves folk right for taking advantage of it.

Goddamn, what an asshole. I understand the people taking advantage to snag some free DVDs for themselves, but he's obviously just being skeezy and trying to make a buck.

And the sad thing is that this shit is really common around freebie/hot deal forums. Most of the people who abuse deals like that usually end up selling them on Ebay for twice to three times what they paid in the first place.

I agree.

My rough estimate is that's about $1500 worth of DVDs he stole...I don't know if Amazon considers that small bills or what. But if I worked there I would sue just to show the little shit who's boss.
